6 何謂(人類)發展 Development refers to the change over time in the body and in the thinking or other behavior of a person. The change may occur as a result of genetically-controlled processes known as maturation (biology), or as a result of environmental factors and learning (experience), but most commonly involves an interaction between the two.

7 人類發展的基本議題 先天對後天 (nature-nurture) 遺傳 (heredity) vs. 經驗 (experience) /
環境 (environment) 連續對不連續 (continuity-discontinuity) 普遍性對脈絡特殊性 (universal vs. context-specific development)

8 發展的基本動力 生物心理社會架構 (biopsychosocial framework) ：強調人類發展考慮多種基本動力，而每種動力與其他動力互相影響構成發展 四種交互影響的動力促成發展 生物學的動力：包括所有影響發展的遺傳與健康的因素 心理學的動力：包括所有影響發展的內在知覺、認知、情緒與人格的因素 社會文化的動力：包括所有影響發展的人際、社會、文化與種族的因素 生命週期的動力：反映差異在相同事件，如何影響不同年齡的人

10 人類發展的每個階段都有其必須達成的任務，如在一歲左右學會走路，而小朋友的能力是否能使這個任務達成，除了小朋友的身體發展之外，其他如小朋友的情緒和媽媽的態度都可能影響小朋友的發展。
