2 一些早期的音樂治療是以早期媽媽和孩子的互動為基礎。從早期治療關係中可以察覺出對聲音及行為的需要。 
小孩哭的次數較低則和舒適感有關，較高則和不舒適有關。因此建議以有節奏的音樂使其有在媽媽子宮的安全感。錄音帶可以產生出像子宮內的聲音，像是胎盤的聲音和血流動的聲音或從臍帶傳來的脈搏。

3 只有三分之一的嬰兒會反抗他們出生時第一小時的聽覺刺激，從出生到六月大之間是學習去聽的時期；11~12星期的孩子喜歡人聲勝過其他聲音，12~14星期的孩子可以區別媽媽和陌生人的聲音，14~16星期的孩子在聽到媽媽的腳步聲就會停止哭泣。

4 音樂對情緒的影響： 「 Mood Wheel 」(1936) 心情的轉變。
Music is a significant mood-changer and reliever of stress, working on many levels at once. EX：Autonomic Nervous System、 Anesthesia、 Endocrinology、 Psychology 

5 聽音樂的療效易有「週期性」！ ex：產品週期 音樂週期：同樣(類)的音樂，療效有可能會隨時間而慢慢遞減 特效音樂、長效音樂…往往因人而異

6 應用音樂治療的幾個基本假設： 1. 音樂創作能力是天生的，雖然它可能發展的比較好或是比較不好。(灰質組織)
2. 人有可以憑空創造任何東西的能力。 3. 人往往不排斥音樂，但人不是時時需要音樂。

7 4. by-order的音樂治療方式不能使病人獲得技巧，而是獲得練習。但練習是獲得技巧的基本要件。
5. 音樂治療是一種有益的輔助療法。「音樂」為媒介，「治療」為重點。

Content of thought- delusions Form of thought- loose associations, flight of thought Perception- hallucinations Affect- blunted, flat, or inappropriate Sense of self- loss of ego boundaries

9 Problem areas for Mental ill clients 2
Volition- lack of interest or drive Relationship to external world- withdrawal into fantasy Psychomotor behavior- pacing, rocking, hypo-activity, hyperactivity, or bizarre behaviors Other possible problems: paranoia and disorganized speech

10 Music therapy goals for targeting those areas:
Re-establish client with reality Draw client away from delusions and hallucinations Open communication with people around client Identify and express emotions Reduce stress and anxiety Control aggressive and destructive impulses Learn adaptive behavior patterns which allow client to function normally in society

11 Music therapy activities for treatment of these problems:
Singing or scatting Lyric analysis Song writing- individually or in a group setting Folk dance or structured dance Improvisational instrumental music Music and relaxation Group guitar lessons
