2 我們既有這許多的見證人，如同雲彩圍著我們，就當放下各樣的重擔，脫去容易纏累我們的罪，存心忍耐，奔那擺在我們前頭的路程，仰望為我們信心創始成終的耶穌。（希伯來書 Hebrews 12:1-2a)
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.

I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil.

7 因為經上說：看哪，我把所揀選、所寶貴的房角石安放在錫安；信靠他的人必不至於羞愧。
（彼得前書 1 Peter 2:6) For in Scripture it says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”

8 信靠： 所謂的信靠就是允許人生有些問題沒有答案。 無論事情有沒有答案，都坦然接受。

9 不問為什麼，拒絕活在過去： 「後悔莫及」？ 「悔恨交加」？ 「早該如此」？ 「本來可以…」？ 「錯失良機」？ 「都是那個人害的」？

11 凡管教的事，當時不覺得快樂，反覺得愁苦；後來卻為那經練過的人結出平安的果子，就是義。 所以，你們要把下垂的手、發酸的腿挺起來；也要為自己的腳，把道路修直了，使瘸子不致歪腳，反得痊癒。（希伯來書 Hebrews 12:11-13) No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. “Make level paths for your feet,” so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.

15 堅心倚賴你的，你必保守他十分平安，因為他倚靠你。
（以賽亞書 Isaiah 26:3) You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.

18 弟兄們，我不是以為自己已經得著了；我只有一件事，就是忘記背後，努力面前的，向著標竿直跑，要得　神在基督耶穌裡從上面召我來得的獎賞。（腓立比書 Philippians 3:13-14)
Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

20 聖靈感動或是衝動？ 因為，隨從肉體的人體貼肉體的事；隨從聖靈的人體貼聖靈的事。 體貼肉體的，就是死；體貼聖靈的，乃是生命、平安。（羅馬書 Rom. 8:5-6) Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
