2 (一)題型介紹 本部分共10題，每題錄音機會播出一段對話及一個相關的問題，每題播出兩次，聽後請從A、B、C三個選項中，選出一個最適當的回答，並在答案紙上塗黑作答。

3 請聽例題 W: Good morning, Mr. Smith. M: Good morning. I have an appointment with Dr. Chen at 10:00. My son Jimmy doesn’t feel well. W: Please wait a second. Dr. Chen will be right with you. Question: Where are the speakers?

4 請看選項 A. At a Clinic. B. At a Restaurant. C. At a School. 正確答案為 A

5 (1)本部分每題包含一段簡短對話及一個相關的問題，目的在測試考生能否理解上下文的關係，掌握對話中重要的訊息。對話內容多與日常生活、學校及工作情境有關，問題形式大致上分為四類：
(2)作答時間：約15秒

6 四大類 a. 主題：問對話的主題、目的及大意，例如“What are the speakers talking about?”（談話者在談些什麼？） b. 情境：問談話者的身份、關係及對話發生的地點、場合等，例如"Who are the speakers?"（談話者是誰？），"Where are the speakers?"（談話者在哪裡？）

7 c. 訊息：問對話中重要的細節，例如"What is the boy's problem?"（這男孩的問題是什麼？）
d. 推論：問談話者的觀點、態度及言外之意等，考生必須依據所聽到訊息進行推論，例如："What does the woman think about the shoes?"（這位女士認為這鞋子如何？）。

8 (二)應考錦囊 a. 每段對話都有其主題情境，如購物、就醫、旅遊、天氣等，所以熟悉此主題情境的關鍵句，即可掌握對話內容。
b. 本部分每段對話及問題均播放兩次，考生要特別注意聽問題中的（1）疑問詞，例如：who、where、why、what等；（2）人稱，例如：the man、the woman、he、she等或名字，以免因聽錯而影響作答。

9 c. 如果碰到聽不懂的單字或句子，不要恐慌要繼續聽下去，應仍可從上下文中判斷出題意。
d. 避免僅憑對話中一兩個字就急忙選答，以免掉入「陷阱」。
