Home Ⅰ.背景知识(Background Knowledge) 随着中国经济的发展,越来越多的外国企业到中国投资,英语的重要性也日益突出。众所周知,没有交流就没有贸易,而问候与介绍是我们必不可少的一课。 Greetings一词意为“问候”。从形式上说,问候可分为正式问候和非正式问候。一般来说,首次见面应用正式问候语,熟人之间可用非正式问候语。从时间的不同上,问候有“早上好”、“下午好”和“晚上好”。和外国人交谈时,应当遵守他们的社会习俗。例如,不能询问他们的私人生活,但可以和他们讨论天气、体育运动以及他们的孩子等。

4 “Greetings & Introductions”即“问候”与“介绍”并不是毫无关联的,恰恰相反,二者通常是紧密联系在一起的。
Home Introductions一词意为“介绍”。介绍可分为自我介绍和他人介绍。作介绍时有三个基本的规则值得我们注意:第一,男的总是被介绍给女的;第二,年轻的总是被介绍给年长的;第三,不甚重要的人总是被介绍给比较重要的人。 “Greetings & Introductions”即“问候”与“介绍”并不是毫无关联的,恰恰相反,二者通常是紧密联系在一起的。

Home Telephone Techniques Ⅰ.背景知识(Background Knowledge) 上一节我们学了打电话的基本常识,这里我们应当多了解一些打电话的技巧。 A.接电话时 (1)拿起电话第一个词往往是“Hello”,但是现代人越来越重视时间和效率,所以在接通电话后,不说“Hello”而直接报出公司或姓名的情况越来越多了。人们有时出于礼貌,可以适当的加上“Good morning”,“Good afternoon”等问候语,然后再报出身份。
