首次居留许可申请 APPLY RESIDENCE PERMIT FOR THE 1ST TIME STEP 1: 取得住宿登记表 GET Accommodation Certificate Living in Nanguang 4/5 or Caiqingjie, go to 2nd Floor of Caiqingjie Bldg. Living off campus: local police station (passports, lease contract, the landlord’s ID card and his/her real estate license) STEP 2: 取得健康证明 GET Health Certificate Have a health check-up in Xiamen Quarantine Bureau (4 2-inch photos, passport, 700RMB in cash, any recent health exam records from your home country)

首次居留许可申请 APPLY RESIDENCE PERMIT FOR THE 1ST TIME STEP 4 前往出入境申请和缴费 Go to the Entry and Exit Administration Office to Apply and Pay the fees. 住宿登记表 Accommodation Certificate 健康证明 Health Certificate 入学通知书复印件 Admission Notice (Copy) 护照 Passport, Copy of Passport Page and Visa Page 2寸照片 2 2-inch photos (white background) 学校公函 Official Documents from OSAO 地址：镇海路64号，第一医院对面 Address: No. 64, Zhenhai Road, opposite1st Hospital 可乘坐96路，659路或857路在第一医院站下车 You can take Bus No. 96/659/857 and stop at No. 1 Hospital Station

首次居留许可申请 APPLY RESIDENCE PERMIT FOR THE 1ST TIME Note: 取回新的居留许可证一般要15个工作日，请在领回护照后，再次办理住宿登记，以备下次申请使用。 It usually takes 15 working days (3 weeks) to get a new residence permit from PSB. After getting your passport back, please go to the place where you get Accommodation Certificate (2F Caiqingjie Building/local police station) to update your accommodation status and keep the new Accommodation Certificate for next time’s application. Otherwise, next time when you apply again, the stay duration will be shortened by PSB. 2. 请谨记签证/居留许可的有效期，如需延长，提前10天办理 Please remember the expiry date of your visa/residence permit and apply at least 10 days in advance.

首次居留许可申请 APPLY RESIDENCE PERMIT FOR THE 1ST TIME Note: 自9月16日起，签证申请办理请前往学生事务大厅（南光四101）。办公时间为周一至周五，上午8:00-11:30；下午2:30-5:30 From Sept. 16 on, students should go to the Students Affairs Hall (R101, Nanguang 4) for visa application. Office hour: Mon. to Fri, 8:00-11:30 am; 2:30-5:30pm. 2. 若更换护照，需在取得新护照的10日内重新申请居留许可。 If you change the passport, please apply for a new residence permit within 10 days after you get the new passport.

台胞证/大陆往来通行证 Mainland Pass Card 有效期：3-12个月，壹次有效入境 因期满或需多次出入申请更换： 可返回台湾地区更换，或在厦门更换 在厦门更换方法： 1、前往厦大校内的厦大派出所登记住宿地址 2. 前往海外学生服务中心填写申请表格； 3、携带所有文件前往厦门市公安局台湾居民办证中心 申请签注：新申请的签注有效期不长于交流期限

奖学金生活补贴Scholarship Allowances 补贴对象：中国政府奖学金生/孔子学院奖学金生/厦门大学一 等奖学金生 For CSC/CIS Scholarship Students /First-Class XMU Scholarship 发放时间:每月15日前发放至学校发放的银行卡中，新生奖学金顺延至9月底或10月初发放。15日之后有问题联系财务处。 The scholarship allowances will be transferred into the designated account offered by the university. Delivery time: before the 15th of every month; allowances for new scholarship students will be postponed till late Sept. or early Oct. Please contact Finance Office after 15th if there is any problem. 4. 银行信息有变化时请及时告知OSAO，否则可能无法顺利发放奖学金 If there is any change of your bank account information, you should submit new information timely to OSAO, or it might result in failure of scholarship delivery.

奖学金年审 Scholarship Annual Review 1.在华留学期限超过1年的奖学金生需在每年5月后两个星期参加学校统一组织的年度评审，最终结果将在每年7-8月期间公布 Scholarship students whose study duration exceeds one academic year are supposed to go through an annual evaluation in the last 2 weeks of May. The result will come out during July and August. 2. 评审内容：学习成绩，考勤情况和奖惩情况 Contents: attendance, academic and class performance, awards or punishments. 成绩标准：本科生一学年须修满25个学分 Academic criteria: undergraduates should earn at least 25 credits every academic year

奖学金年审 Scholarship Annual Review 3. 评审结果：通过，恢复资格；不合格，中止资格 Pass: Scholarship resumed; Fail: Scholarship Suspended 4. 延期申请：自2014年起，中国政府基金委只接受应届博士毕业生的延期申请，延期期限不超过一学年 Scholarship Extension: From 2014 on, the CSC only accepts extension application from doctoral students and the maximum period of extension should not exceed one academic year.

汉补学习 Chinese Language Study before major study 1. 按要求进行汉补的奖学金生，应在汉补结束时取得规定的HSK 等级证书 Students who are required to take Chinese language study before major study should obtain the HSK Certificate with accorded band. After getting an approval from home majors, they can complete registration in home major. 2. 对在规定汉补期限内未能通过考核者，将作为进修生结业回国 Those who are still not qualified after finishing Chinese language study, their study in China will be terminated.

年度报到 Annual Registration 对象：中国政府奖学金生和孔院奖学金生 Chinese Government Scholarship and Confucius Institute Scholarship Students 2. 学年报到确认/Annual Registration 中国政府和孔子学院奖学金生需于每年开学初（9月初）到 OSAO报到确认奖学金资格。 Chinese Government Scholarship and Confucius Institute Scholarship students should come to sign in at OSAO at the beginning of every academic year, usually in early Sept. to confirm their scholarship status at Xiamen University.

校际交流生 Exchange Students 选课/Course Selection 本科课程/Undergraduate Course: 咨询学院 Upon registration in the college/department, consult the teaching secretary 研究生课程/Graduate Course：咨询学院 汉语课程/Chinese Language Course: 咨询学院 The University offers Chinese courses on Main campus. Please consult the college/department on course selection 跨院系课程/Cross-department/college Course: 咨询学院 Get approval from relevant departments/colleges Note: Applications for cross-level courses are not available for most of the exchange programs.

校际交流生 Exchange Students 请注意：研究生层次的交流生不允许选择本科生课程。若选修本科生课程，将无法获取相应的成绩和学分。 Please note: postgraduate exchange students are not allowed to select undergraduate courses. Postgraduate exchange students cannot earn relevant credits if they take the undergraduate courses and the transcript will not include the undergraduate courses.

校际交流生 Exchange Students 2. 成绩单出具与寄送/Transcript Granting &Delivery 本科生课程成绩单由教务处出具 The transcript of undergraduate courses is granted by Dean’s Office 研究生课程成绩单由研究生院出具 The transcript of graduate courses is granted by Graduate School OSAO将于学期结束前15天发出并回收相关选课汇总表以便存档 For future reference, OSAO will deliver and collect a Course Report 15 days before the semester ends. Please keep the email address available. XMU 将于新学期开学后2个月内寄送成绩单至相关院校 The transcript will be delivered within the first 2 months of the new semester.

生活指南 Guide to University Life 医疗与保险/Medical Services &Insurance 校内生活/Campus Life

医疗与保险 Medical Services & Insurance 中国政府奖学金/孔子学院奖学金生：由奖学金涵盖 For Chinese Government Full scholarship and Confucius Institute Full scholarship students, the insurance fee is covered by the scholarship. 门诊服务/Outpatient Medical Insurance 只能在大陆公立医院就诊 Limited in public hospitals in mainland China B. 学校于每学年开学初将650元和第一个月的生活费一起发放至指定的银行卡中。门诊费用在650元以下的自付，累计超过650元收齐所有材料由OSAO转交保险公司。650元以上的部分85%以上赔付，日限额为600元 The university will transfer 650RMB to the designated account with the allowance of the 1st month. When the outpatient medical expenses exceed 650RMB, submit all relevant materials to OSAO. 85% of the excessive part will be reimbursed by the insurance company and the daily limit is 600 RMB.

医疗与保险 Medical Services & Insurance 3. 住院医疗保险/Inpatient Medical Insurance 全额奖学金生可享受垫付服务 Only full scholarship students can apply for prepayment service at designated public hospitals. 住院理赔请先将材料送至OSAO,由其转至保险公司 After inpatient treatment finishes, send required documents to OSAO and we will forward them to the insurance company.

医疗与保险 Medical Services & Insurance 在华时间超过1年（含1年）的其他外籍生也需购买保险 Other foreign students who study in China for 1 year or longer should join the group insurance scheme . 2. 价格/Fees <45: 600 RMB/Person/Year; 46-69: 1000RMB/Person /Year 此项保险不涵盖门诊 The insurance scheme does not cover outpatient medical liability . 4. 住院医疗和意外伤害保险/Inpatient & Accidental Injury Medical Insurance 住院理赔请先将材料送至OSAO,由其转至保险公司 After inpatient treatment finishes, send required documents to OSAO and we will forward them to the insurance company.

校园生活 Campus Life ☆ 语言角 Language Corner ☆游泳馆/健身室 Swimming Pool/Gym 每周五晚,人类博物馆附近，中、日、英语语言角 Every Friday Evening, near the anthropological museum, Chinese, English and Japanese ☆游泳馆/健身室 Swimming Pool/Gym 地点:西校门附近 Venue: Close to the West Gate 使用游泳馆需至厦大医院办理健康卡，后刷卡付费 Take a physical examination in Xiada Hospital to get a swimming card, then use the card and your e-card as the pass (2 RMB/time) 游泳馆及健身室仅在无课程时段及周末开放 (早8:00-晚10:00) The swimming pool and the gym are available at weekends and set a priority to P.E. classes on weekdays (Open Hour:8a.m-10p.m)
