Why Does the Cross of Christ Have so much Power to Change our Lives Why can Jesus save every sinner from the Penalty of their every sin? 為何耶穌能夠拯救每個罪人脫離每件罪的刑罰? Because of Who Jesus Christ is! 由於耶穌基督是誰! Jesus is the GOD-Man. 100% GOD; 100% Man (I Timothy 3:16) 耶穌是神-人, 100%神, 100%人(提前3:16).

Jesus is Omniscient 耶穌是無所不知的 So He knows every sin that every one would ever commit 因此祂知道每個人會犯下的每個罪. So Jesus could “offer one sacrifice for sins for ever” (Heb. 10:12) 所以耶穌能夠獻上「一次永遠的贖罪祭」(來10:12). God could “lay on Him the iniquity of us all” (Isa. 53:6) & He could atone them all! 上帝能夠「使我們眾人的罪孽都歸在他身上」(賽53:6), 且祂為所有的罪孽贖罪.

Jesus is Omnipotent 耶穌是無所不能的 So He is powerful enough to literally bear in His body every sin ever committed! 祂的大能足夠在身上承擔人類所犯的每一個罪! (1Pet 2:24) Jesus “bear our sins in his own body on the tree” (see Lev. 16:22; Isa. 53:11; Heb. 9:28) 彼前2:24 – 耶穌「被掛在木頭上，親身擔當了我們的罪」 (看利16:22; 賽53:11; 來9:28) Jesus “tasted death for every man” (Heb. 2:9) 耶穌「為人人嚐了死味」(來2:9).

Romans 羅馬書 6:6, 8 (6) Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, {to render entirely idle} that henceforth we should not serve sin. 羅6:6 -因為知道我們的舊人和他同釘十字架，使罪身滅絕，叫我們不再作罪的奴僕； (8) Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 羅6:8 -我們若是與基督同死，就信必與他同活。

Galatians 加拉太書 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God…" 加2:20 -我已經與基督同釘十字架，現在活著的不再是我，乃是基督在我裡面活著；並且我如今在肉身活著，是因信神的兒子而活…

How Can Jesus take me to the Cross to be Crucified with Himself Because of Who He Really Is! 由於祂真的是誰! Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible... all things were created by him, and for him: 西1:16 -因為萬有都是靠他造的，無論是天上的，地上的；能看見的，不能看見的…一概都是藉著他造的，又是為他造的。

Jesus is the Almighty Creator God 耶穌是全能的創造神 (John 1:1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, & the Word was God. 約1:1 -太初有道，道與神同在，道就是神。 (1:3) All things were made by him; & without him was not any thing made that was made. 約1:3 -萬物是藉著他造的；凡被造的，沒有一樣不是藉著他造的。

耶穌是唯一真正的創造神, 將萬有托住! Who is Jesus? 耶穌是誰? Jesus is the one true Creator God who holds all things together! 耶穌是唯一真正的創造神, 將萬有托住! Col 1:17 … and by him all things consist. 西1:17 - …萬有也靠他而立。 Heb 1:3 Jesus is “upholding all things by the word of his power…” (I Cor. 8:6) 來1:3 – 耶穌「常用他權能的命令托住萬有」(林前8:6)。

Jesus is the Beginning & End of Everything! 耶穌是萬物的始與終 Everything begins & ends with Jesus 萬物以耶穌為始為終. (Rev 1:8) “I am Alpha & Omega, the beginning & the ending, saith the Lord, which is, & which was, & which is to come, the Almighty. 啟1:8 -我是阿拉法，我是俄梅戛，是昔在、今在、以後永在的全能者。

Everything begins & ends with Jesus! 耶穌是萬物的始與終 (Acts 17:28) “For in him we live, and move, and have our being…” (Job. 12:10; I Sam. 25:29; John 17:21) 徒17:28 -我們生活、動作、存留，都在乎他(伯12:10; 撒上25:29; 約17:21).

You have got to know How Great Jesus is! 我們必須明白耶穌有多偉大! Jesus is so Great; so Powerful (Omnipotent) that He can do with me whatever is necessary to save me from both the Penalty of my ‘sins’ & the Power of ‘Sin’ in my Life. 耶穌偉大, 全能, 能夠做出任何可以拯救我脫離生命中罪的刑罰, 以及罪的權勢的必要事情. So let’s look at the Great Things the LORD has done for us! 讓我們看看主為我們做的大事!

I.) CONVICTION of “sin”: 使人知罪: Convinced that I am a sinner by nature! 讓我深知我的本性就是罪人! It is The REVELATION of the sinful SELF by the Holy Spirit. 這是聖靈所啟示的自我.

Romans 羅馬書 7:18 “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me: but how to perform that which is good I find not.” 我也知道在我裡頭，就是我肉體之中，沒有良善。因為，立志為善由得我，只是行出來由不得我。 The Bible reveals that my real problem is not just what I have done but what I am! 聖經啟示我真正的問題不是我所做的, 而是我是什麼!

Simon Peter Luke 5:1-11 西門彼得 路加福音5:1-11 “Depart from me: for I am a sinful man, O Lord.” 「主啊！離開我，我是個罪人！」

Isaiah 以賽亞書 6:1-7 “Then said Isaiah, Woe is me! For I am undone… for mine eyes have seen the king, the LORD of Hosts.” 「禍哉！我滅亡了！…因我眼見大君王萬軍之耶和華。」(6:5)

2. REPENTANCE for the sinner I Am 悔改我是罪人 So many of us want to think that what I’ve done is bad, but I myself an still a pretty good person. (This is a false “good self image”). 我們許多人認為, 雖然我們所做的是不好; 但我自己仍然是個好人 (這是不對的「良好自我形象」).

Job: See our self in light of God’s Holiness 約伯: 在上帝聖潔的光中看見自己 “Behold I am vile; what shall I answer thee? (Job 40:3-5). 伯40:3-5 -我是卑賤的！我用什麼回答你呢？ "I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee. Wherefore I abhor myself, & repent in dust and ashes." Have you received a Divine revelation of your selfish sinful self

The revelation & repentance of our sinful self is progressive throughout life 明白並悔改我們罪惡的自我, 是一生的進展過程 “I am not meet to be called an apostle” (I Cor. 15:9) (56 AD) 「我不配稱為使徒」(林前15:9). “I am less than the least of all saints” (Eph. 3:8) (61 AD) 「我本來比眾聖徒中最小的還小」 (弗3:8). “I am the chief of sinners” (I Tim 1:15) (63 AD) 「在罪人中我是個罪魁」 (提前1:15).

這是上帝使我們從罪的權勢中得自由唯一的途徑. 3. Know the Truth of THE CROSS: I AM CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST 明白十字架的真理: 我與基督同釘十字架 This is the only means God has for Freeing us from the Power of sin 這是上帝使我們從罪的權勢中得自由唯一的途徑.

GOD CREATED MAN SOUL, BODY & SPIRIT 上帝創造人 有靈, 魂, 體 “God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” (Gen. 1:27) 神就照著自己的形像造人，乃是照著他的形像造男造女 (創1:27)。

“the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground…” (Gen. 2:7)

The Tragedy of Adam’s Sin 亞當犯罪的悲劇 The Holy Spirit left man & they were dead “in trespasses and sins” 上帝的聖靈離開人,他們死在「過犯罪惡中」. The sin nature came into being 罪性產生了. Soul becomes a slave to the body

How does God set us Free from our Bondage to “SIN” 上帝如何使我們從「罪」的綑綁中得自由 By putting us to death! 將我們治死! “In” Christ on the Cross 在十字架上在基督「裡」 Jesus comes to live in us through the Holy Spirit (Col. 1:27-29) 耶穌藉著聖靈住在我們裡面(西1:27-29).

DEATH ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE IS… 根據聖經,死亡是… Death is not an annihilation of being. Biblically Death is a “S e p a r a t i o n.” 死亡不是人的滅絕; 聖經的死亡意義是分開. Physical death is the “s e p a r a t i o n” of the inner man from the outer man, the soul & spirit from the body 肉身的死亡是裡面的人與外面的人分開, 人的魂與靈跟身體分開.

我從肉體罪性的綑綁中得自由. I am freed from bondage to the sin nature in my flesh The Christian who has been Baptized with the Holy Spirit is no longer “in the flesh but in the Spirit” (Rom. 8:9). 被聖靈施浸的基督徒不再「在肉體中, 而是在靈中」(羅8:9). I am freed from bondage to the sin nature in my flesh 我從肉體罪性的綑綁中得自由.

西2:11 -你們在他(基督)裡面也受了不是人手所行的割禮， The Holy Spirit “circumcises” our body of flesh from our soul 聖靈將我們的肉體情慾與魂切割開來 “In [Christ] ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, 西2:11 -你們在他(基督)裡面也受了不是人手所行的割禮， in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: (Col. 2:11) 西 2:11乃是基督使你們脫去肉體情慾的割禮。

這是聖經對死亡的啟示: 「魂或靈與身體分開」. The believer who has been baptized in the Holy Spirit has literally died! 在聖靈裡受浸的信徒確實是死了! Their soul has separated from their flesh! 他們的魂與他們的肉體分開! That is the Biblical revelation of death: “separation of the soul or spirit from the body” 這是聖經對死亡的啟示: 「魂或靈與身體分開」.

聖靈的施浸和割禮,使我們成為 「基督裡新造的人」. This Baptism & Circumcision with the Holy Spirit makes us “new Creatures in Christ” 聖靈的施浸和割禮,使我們成為 「基督裡新造的人」.

羅6:6 - 因為知道我們的舊人和他同釘十字架，使罪身滅絕， “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed [Greek = rendered idle], 羅6:6 - 因為知道我們的舊人和他同釘十字架，使罪身滅絕， that henceforth we should not serve sin” (Rom. 6:6). 叫我們不再作罪的奴僕；

4. BELIEVE: (RECKON on) These Truths 相信: 相信(看待)這些真理 "Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Rom. 6:11) 羅6:11 -這樣，你們向罪也當看自己是死的；向神在基督耶穌裡，卻當看自己是活的。 The word, "reckon" means doing accounts; book keeping. It has to do with arithmetic: one thing we can do with utter certainty. 「看, 算」這個字的意思是算帳; 記帳. 它與數學有關; 是確切可做的事情.

Why does God say we are to reckon ourselves dead? 為何上帝說我們要看自己是死的? Because we are dead with Christ! 因我們已與基督同死!

Hallelujah! We are also Risen with Christ 哈利路亞! 我們也與基督同復活!

Abraham is our Example of Faith 亞伯拉罕是我們信心的榜樣 “For Abraham believed God, and it was counted onto him for righteousness” (Rom. 4:3) 「亞伯拉罕信神，這就算為他的義。」(羅4:3) For he "was fully persuaded that what God had promised, he was able also to perform." (Rom. 4:21) 「且滿心相信神所應許的必能做成。」 羅4:21 )

5. APPROPRIATE: Yield to these Truths 應用: 降服給這些真理 (Rom. 6:13) "Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: 羅6:13 -也不要將你們的肢體獻給罪作不義的器具； “but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.“ 倒要像從死裡復活的人，將自己獻給神，並將肢體作義的器具獻給神。

5. APPROPRIATE: Yield to these Truths 應用: 降服給這些真理 Thank God for what the great things He has done for you by the Cross of Christ. 感謝上帝藉著基督的十字架為你所成就的大事. By faith in this truth let Christ live through you by the Holy Spirit (Phil. 2:12-13) 藉著相信這個真理, 讓基督經由聖靈活在你生命中. Don’t Just try to reform you old sinful ways. 不要只是改造你的舊有罪惡的生活方式. Be Born again! (John 3:3-7; Titus 3:5) 要重生!

6. DELIVERANCE: Delivered from the power of sin within. 釋放: 從裡面罪的權勢得釋放 "But now being made free from sin, we become servants to God, and have our fruit unto holiness, & the end everlasting life." 羅6:22 -但現今，你們既從罪裡得了釋放，作了神的奴僕，就有成聖的果子，那結局就是永生 "For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Rom. 6:22-23) 羅6:23 -因為罪的工價乃是死；惟有神的恩賜，在我們的主基督耶穌裡，乃是永生。
