峨眉山在四川省。那里夏天的温度不热也不冷。夏天的时候很多人到峨嵋山看风景。 泰山在山东省。以前中国的皇帝都到泰山为国家的平安祈祷。 华山在陕西省。这座山是中国道教的重要地点。华山的山坡非常陡，很危险！ Answer: China's famous mountains China has many famous mountains that include Yellow Mountain, Emei Mountain, Tai Mountain and Hua Mountain. The Yellow Mountain is China's most famous mountain. It is in the Anhui province. The views are fantastic there, just like a painting. Emei Mountain is in the Sichuan province. The temperature is just right when it is summer. In the summer, there are many people who go there to enjoy the scenery. Tai Mountain is in the Shandong province. The emperors of China used to go there to pray for the peace of the nation. Hua Mountain is in the Shaanxi province. It is an important landmark in Daoism. The cliffs are very steep and dangerous.

北京是中国的首都，也是一个直辖市。“北京”的意思就是 “北方的首都”。 北京有一千九百万人口。北京有很多文化古迹，例如：紫禁城（故宫）、天坛、万里长城、胡同等等。 北京有世界著名的北京烤鸭。北京烤鸭很好吃！北京也有很多高楼大厦。 夏天的时候北京的天气很热、也很潮湿。 春天的时候有沙尘暴。有的时候北京的雾霾很严重。 Translations: Beijing is a beautiful city. Beijing is located in the north of China. Beijing is the Capital of China. The name “Beijing” means “the North Capital”. The population of Beijing is nineteen million. Beijing has a lot of historical landmarks such as the Forbidden City, the Heavenly Temple, the Great Wall and Hutong. Peking duck is very delicious. There are also many high rise buildings in Beijing. The summer weather in Beijing is very hot and humid. In the spring there are sand storms.

上海是中国一个很重要的港口，也是一个经济和文化中心。世界上很多国家在这里跟中国做贸易。上海有差不多二千三百万人口。上海的地理位置很有优势，因为在长江的河口，运货物非常容易。 上海有很多有意思的地方，例如：外滩、豫园、东方明珠电视塔、还有南京路等等。上海是一个很现代化、西方化而且很有历史的城市。 上海冬天的天气不太冷。 夏天的时候有点儿潮湿。 温度有三十度以上。上海很美丽。 Translations: Shanghai is one of the metropolitan cities of China. The name ‘Shanghai’ means ‘on the sea’ because the city is near the sea. Shanghai is not only an important seaport, but also the national center of economics and culture. Shanghai has a population of twenty-three million. There are many interesting places in Shanghai for example: The Bund, Yu Gardens, the Eastern Pearl TV Tower and the Nanjing Road. Shanghai is very modern, too. In the summer it is somewhat humid. The temperature is above thirty degrees. Shanghai is a beautiful city.

15 中国的主要城市 – 西安 西安是中国西北地区的大城市，是陕西省省会。西安历史悠久，有着7000多年文明史，是中华文明和中华民族重要发祥地，丝绸之路的起点。西安市有八百五十多万人口。 这个城市有很多好玩的地方，例如：兵马俑，古城墙，钟楼和回民小吃街。 西安春季温暖、干燥、多风；夏季炎热多雨，多雷雨大风天气；秋季凉爽，气温速降；冬季寒冷，多雾、少雨雪。

这个城市有很多好玩的地方，例如：白云山、珠江、中山纪念堂、还有广州塔。广州是中国重要的工业生产基地。在这里有很多国际公司的工厂。 广州夏天的天气很热。 秋天和冬天的温度没有那么高。 广州的位置是在珠江三角洲地区。珠江三角洲地区的经济很繁荣。 别的经济很繁荣的城市，如：澳门和香港，也在这个地区。 Guangzhou is a big city in southern China. Guangzhou population is approximately thirteen million people. There are many interesting sightseeing places here, such as: White Cloud Mountain, the Pearl River, Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall and Guangzhou tower. Guangzhou is also an important industrial base of China. There are many factories of international companies here. The summer weather in Guangzhou is very hot. It’s not so hot in the autumn or winter. Guangzhou is located in the Pearl River delta (PRD) region . The economy of the PRD is very prosperous. Other very prosperous cities like Hong Kong and Macau are also found in this region.

这个城市有很多好玩的地方例如：天生三桥、动物园还有茶馆。重庆动物园有熊猫。 重庆是中国西南的生产中心。 重庆夏天的天气非常潮湿，而且冬天常常下雨。夏天最高气温有三十五度！ 重庆在四川省。四川人喜欢吃麻辣菜。 Chongqing is in the South Western region of China. The approximate population of Chongqing is 29 million people. There are many interesting sightseeing places here, such as: The Three Natural Bridges, the Chongqing Zoo and tea houses. You can find pandas in the Chongqing Zoo! The summers in Chongqing are extremely humid and it often rains in the winter. Chongqing is in Sichuan province. Sichuan people like to eat numbingly spicy food.

21 中国的主要城市 – 哈尔滨 东北地区有黑龙江省、吉林省、辽宁省。这三个地方也叫“东北三省”。东北地区是中国的重工业中心。东北生产很多钢铁和煤。 东北有很多少数民族比如满族、朝鲜族、蒙古族等。 冬天的时候可以去东北看树挂和冰雕。 东北的冬天特别冷而且干燥。哈尔滨是在东北的黑龙江省。它在松花江的南边。哈尔滨也叫“冰城”因为冬天的时候最低的温度有摄氏零下四十度！ 哈尔滨最有名的观光地点有圣索菲亚大教堂、东北虎林园、冰雪大世界。 Translations: North-east China consists of Heilong Jiang, Jilin, and Liaoning provinces. The three places are also called 'the three north-eastern provinces'. North-east China is the centre of heavy industry in China. A lot of coal and steel is produced here. There are many ethnic minorities here, such as Manchus, Mongols and Koreans. You can see ice formations on trees and ice sculptures here in the winter. The winters are very cold and dry here. Harbin is in Heilongjiang province. It is south of the Songhua River. Harbin is also called the 'Ice City' because the coldest temperature in the winter is -40 degrees Celsius. The most famous tourist places in Harbin are St. Sophia’s church, the Siberian Tiger Park and Ice and Snow World.

这个城市有很多有意思的地方例如：山顶、九龙、尖沙嘴码头。在山顶你可以看看香港很美丽的夜景。在九龙你可以逛街、吃饭、买衣服、电子产品什么的。人人说香港是个购物天堂。你可以在尖沙嘴码头坐小轮船去香港岛。香港是亚洲还有世界的很重要的金融中心。这里的经济很繁荣。 香港的夏天天气很热。秋天和冬天的温度比较舒服。 Hong Kong is a Special Administrative Region in the southern of China. The population of Hong Kong is nine million people. There are many fascinating places in this city, such as the Peak, Kowloon and the Tsim Sha Tsui pier. On The Peak you can see the beautiful night view of Hong Kong. In Kowloon you can go shopping, eat, buy clothes and electronic goods. Everyone says Hong Kong is a shopping paradise. You can go to the Tsim Sha Tsui pier to ride the ferry to Hong Kong island. Hong Kong is also a very important financial center of Asia. The economy here is flourishing. The summer of Hong Kong is very warm. The temperature in the autumn and winter is relatively comfortable.

这个城市有很多好玩的地方例如：澳门旅游塔、大三八牌坊。很多人去澳门的赌场。 澳门的天气跟香港的差不多。夏天很潮湿很热。 澳门也是一个特别行政区。 Translations: Macau is a famous tourist destination in Southern China. Macau has approximately 550,000 people. There are a lot of fun places here, for example: Macau Tower, St. Paul’s ruins. Many people go to casinos in Macau. Summer in Macau is very similar to that in Hong Kong: warm and humid. Macau is also a special administrative region.

27 其它说普通话的地方– 台湾 台湾是一个很美丽的岛。台湾在中国东南部海岸的对面。 台湾有二千二百万的人口。 一九四九年蒋介石和中国国民党打败了仗就到台湾去了。从那个时候开始台湾就受到中国国民党政府的统治。因为政治的原因两岸的文化、经济、语言经历过不同的变化。现在中国共产党政府认为台湾是属于中国的，但是台湾政府要民主。 台湾的首都是台北市。台北有很多有意思的地方例如：台北一零一、西门町、中正纪念堂。在台北一零一你可以看看台北的夜景、吃台湾菜、逛商场。在西门町你可以逛街、吃台湾小吃、买衣服。 台湾的信息技术很先进。台湾的天气很热。秋天和冬天的温度没有那么热。
