3 依據 basement 行政院於91年訂頒「營造英語生活環境行動 方案」 行政院研考會於92年8月訂定「優質英語生 活環境評核獎勵要點」
本局為研考會指定參加「95年度營造優質英 語生活環境評獎」機關

4 目的 goal 「消防國際化」及「消防服務無國界」 不只是打火 (more than a fire fighter)
身為消防人不可不知的三大任務： 1.火災預防 (Fire Prevention) 2.災害搶救 (Disaster Rescue) 3.緊急救護 (Emergency Medical Service)

5 英文的重要性 why we should learn it?
英文不好的阿呆第一次出國，要填寫很多英文表 格，當阿呆看到 「sex」(性別) 這一欄的時候， 在心中猶豫掙扎了一番，最後鼓起勇氣寫下了… three times a week!! (一個禮拜三次)

6 Please do not overreact!
禮儀 manners 微笑是國際共通語言(just smile) Please smile when you answer the phone and the caller will feel your amiability. 專業形象(professional image) Please do not overreact! Remember you work as a professional fire fighter. Let the caller explain his/her problems without interruption. Take notes.
