The Israeli ministry of agriculture, through its research institutions conduct agricultural research. SEED TECH A totally GREEN SEED TREATMENT technology that provides:
A totally “chemical free” process, and the only seed treatment process that can be applied to the organic seed industry. The technology is using light and the advantages are: From 5 to 15% increased yields in field crops such as corn, cotton and sunflower at less than $4 operational cost per planted hectare. Typical revenue gain from 5% yield increase per hectare ranges from $400 for corn to $500 for cotton. From 5 to 15% increased yields in most vegetable crops such as carrots, with less than $1 operational cost per planted hectare. Typical revenue gain from 5% increased yield per hectare ranges from $1300 for carrots to $4000 for tomato. Reduces carbon emissions to cultivate 1 hectare by a factor of 5 to 1. Ability to plant at lower soil temperatures with no loss in performance. This contributes to lower risk of loss of crops in seasons that untreated crops are lost to poor rains.

The Process and Machine scheme
Seed Tech process can be integrated easily into normal seed processing operations. Seeds are loaded onto a conveyor belt by standard seed handling equipment. The belt is driven continuously into the treatment unit, where they are moved about to expose all their sides to the illumination. After short section of “relaxation” they are moved into the packing and weighing unit. The treatment parameters are delivered to the control computer from a remote source via SSL internet communication using encrypted protocol. 29
