While-reading 1. Four students read aloud the reading context (請四位學習成就高的學生朗讀課文) 2. The other students have to take notes about the reading context (其他學生必須依據聽到的內容作重點整理)

Kid 1 : Dad, people in Taiwan are celebrating the Ghost Festival. Do Americans also have a day for ghosts? Dad : Of course, they do. They have Halloween. Kid 1 : When is Halloween? Dad : It’s on October 31st.

Dad : They go trick-or-treating in the USA. Kid 2 : What’s trick-or treating? Grandma : Children usually wear masks or costumes, and go door to door to ask for candy. They don’t go home until they fill up their trick-or-treat bags. Kid 3 : I’m so excited about Halloween. Kid 4 : I’m so excited about Halloween, too. Mom : Not only you but I am also excited about this holiday. I would like to go to a Halloween parade, and show off my crazy costumes.
