On him God the Father has placed his seal of approval." 28 Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?" 29 Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent." 30 So they asked him, "What miraculous sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do? 31 Our forefathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written: 'He gave them bread from heaven to eat.' " 32 Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world." 34 "Sir," they said, "from now on give us this bread." 35 Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. -约翰福音 John 6:26-35

Tefillah or Amidah, “The 18 Benedictions” Give us discernment, O Lord, to know thy ways And circumcise our heart to fear thee And forgive us so that we may be redeemed And keep us far from our sufferings, And fatten us in the pastures of thy land, And gather our dispersions from the four corners of the earth, And let them who err from thy prescriptions be punished And lift up thy hand against the wicked, And let the righteous rejoice in the building of the city And the establishment of the temple And in exalting the horn of David, they servant, And the preparation of a light for the son of Jesse, thy Messiah; Blessed art thou, O Lord, who hearkenest to prayer 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10 your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us today our daily bread. 12 Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. '. [for yours is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever.

11 以色列全会众在旷野向摩西,亚伦发怨言, 3 说,巴不得我们早死在埃及地,耶和华的手下,那时我们坐在肉锅旁边,吃得饱足。你们将我们领出来,到这旷野,是要叫这全会众都饿死啊。 4 耶和华对摩西说,我要将粮食从天降给你们。百姓可以出去,每天收每天的分,我好试验他们遵不遵我的法度。 5 到第六天,他们要把所收进来的预备好了,比每天所收的多一倍。 In the desert the whole community grumbled against Moses and Aaron. 3 The Israelites said to them, “If only we had died by the LORD‘s hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death.” 4 Then the LORD said to Moses, “I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions. 5 On the sixth day they are to prepare what they bring in, and that is to be twice as much as they gather on the other days.“ -出埃及记 Exodus 16:2-5

For they did not know what it was. Moses said to them, "It is the bread the LORD has given you to eat. 16 This is what the LORD has commanded: 'Each one is to gather as much as he needs. Take an omer for each person you have in your tent.' " 17 The Israelites did as they were told; some gathered much, some little. 18 And when they measured it by the omer, he who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little. Each one gathered as much as he needed. 19 Then Moses said to them, "No one is to keep any of it until morning." 20 However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell. So Moses was angry with them. 21 Each morning everyone gathered as much as he needed, and when the sun grew hot, it melted away. - 出埃及记 Exodus 16:14-21

14 耶和华的名,是坚固台。 义人奔入,便得安稳。 富足人的财物,是他的坚城, 在他心想,犹如高墙。

Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. 12 The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them. 13 ”Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. 14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. 16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything. 17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! -路加福音 Luke 11:11-17

I am no longer worthy to be called your son. ' 22 "But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. 19 神能将各样的恩惠,多多地加给你们。使你们凡事常常充足,能多行各样善事。 9 如经上所记,他施舍钱财,周济贫穷。他的仁义存到永远。 10 那赐种给撒种的,赐粮给人吃的,必多多加给你们种地的种子,又增添你们仁义的果子。 11 叫你们凡事富足,可以多多施舍,就借着我们使感谢归于神。 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 9 As it is written: “He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.” 10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. -哥林多后书 2 Corinthians 9:8-11
