Build Motorola China into a global R&D base and the largest production base Realize Seamless Mobility in China first Proactively carry out CSR activities 研发是摩托罗拉的核心竞争力之一。目前，摩托罗拉在中国的6座城市一共建立了17个研发中心，研发人员总数达到2500人，是跨国公司在华设立的最大研发机构。研发的范围包括软件开发、个人通讯产品研发、最新移动通信解决方案、人机交互技术在未来软件和硬件产品中的应用、电池及其他电子产品的附件、先进及环保材料研究等 。摩托罗拉还将继续加强在华的研发能力，研发人员总数到今年年底还会有比较大的增长。 中国有巨大的市场、有世界领先的运营商、有乐于接受新技术和新产品的消费者；在中国，摩托罗拉已经建立起了强大的制造和研发能力。中国完全有可能成为第一个实现无缝移动通信的国家。 致力于成为优秀的企业公民，这是摩托罗拉在中国的一个重要战略。摩托罗拉一直积极履行企业的社会责任，包括向希望工程捐款、从事环保活动、抢险救灾、开展员工志愿者活动、提供多元化等等。我们认为跨国公司应当在承担社会责任方面起到一个表率作用，用我们的实际行动和管理经验，带动更多的公司来从事社会公益活动。在这方面，摩托罗拉与其他公司一道，以投资性公司工作委员会的名义在今年3月份发出了《投资性公司工作委员会CSR北京宣言》。
