5 Genesis 16:1-3 1亞伯蘭的妻子撒萊不給他生兒女。撒萊有一個使女，名叫夏甲，是埃及人。 2 撒萊對亞伯蘭說：「耶和華使我不能生育。求你和我的使女同房，或者我可以因她得孩子(得孩子:原文是被建立)」。亞伯蘭聽從了撒萊的話。 3 於是亞伯蘭的妻子撒萊將使女埃及人夏甲給了丈夫為妾；那時亞伯蘭在迦南已經住了十年. 1Now Sarai, Abram’s wife had borne him no children, and she had an Egyptian maid whose name was Hagar. 2 So Sarai said to Abram, “Now behold, the LORD has prevented me from bearing children. Please go in to my maid; perhaps I will obtain children through her.” And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai. 3 After Abram had lived ten years in the land of Canaan, Abram’s wife Sarai took Hagar the Egyptian, her maid, and gave her to her husband Abram as his wife. 6 13:16 我也要使你的後裔如同地上的塵沙那樣多，人若能 數算地上的塵沙才能數算你的後裔。 I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth, so that if anyone can number the dust of the earth, then your descendants can also be numbered.  15:3-6 亞伯蘭又說:「你沒有給我兒子;那生在我家中的人就是我的後嗣.」 耶和華又有話對他說:「這人必不成為你的後嗣;你本身所生的才成為你的後嗣.」 於是領他走到外邊,說:「你向天觀看,數算眾星, 能數得過來嗎？」又對他說:「你的後裔將要如此」And Abram said, “Since You have given no offspring to me, one born in my house is my heir.” Then behold, the word of the LORD came to him, saying, “This man will not be your heir; but one who will come forth from your own body, he shall be your heir.” And He (God) took him outside and said, “Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.”

9 Genesis 16: 亞伯蘭與夏甲同房，夏甲就懷了孕；她見自己有孕，就小看她的主母。 5 撒萊對亞伯蘭說：「我因你受屈。我將我的使女放在你懷中，她見自己有了孕，就小看我。願耶和華在你我中間判斷。」 6 亞伯蘭對撒萊說：「使女在你手下，你可以隨意待她。」撒萊苦待她，她就從撒萊面前逃走了。 4 He went in to Hagar, and she conceived; and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her sight. 5 And Sarai said to Abram, “May the wrong done me be upon you. I gave my maid into your arms, but when she saw that she had conceived, I was despised in her sight. May the LORD judge between you and me.” 6 But Abram said to Sarai, “Behold, your maid is in your power; do to her what is good in your sight.” So Sarai treated her harshly, and she fled from her presence.

11 Genesis 16: 耶和華的使者在曠野書珥路上的水泉旁遇見她， 8 對她說：「撒萊的使女夏甲，你從哪裡來？要往哪裡去？」夏甲說：「我從我的主母撒萊面前逃出來。」 9 耶和華的使者對她說：「你回到你主母那裡，服在她手下」； 7 Now the angel of the LORD found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, by the spring on the way to Shur. 8 He said, “Hagar, Sarai’s maid, where have you come from and where are you going?” And she said, “I am fleeing from the presence of my mistress Sarai.” 9 Then the angel of the LORD said to her, “Return to your mistress, and submit yourself to her authority.”

12 Genesis 16:10-12 10 又說：「我必使你的後裔極其繁多，甚至不可勝數」 11 並說：「你如今懷孕要生一個兒子，可以給他起名叫以實瑪利（就是神聽見的意思），因為耶和華聽見了你的苦情。 12 他為人必像野驢。他的手要攻打人，人的手也要攻打他；他必住在眾弟兄的東邊。」 10 Moreover, the angel of the LORD said to her, “I will greatly multiply your descendants so that they will be too many to count.” 11 The angel of the LORD said to her further, “Behold! you are with child, and you will bear a son; And you shall call his name Ishmael, because the LORD has given heed to your affliction. 12 “He will be a wild donkey of a man, his hand will be against everyone, and everyone’s hand will be against him; and he will live to the east of all his brothers.”

17 Genesis 16:7-8 7 耶和華的使者在曠野書珥路上的水泉旁遇見她， 8 對她說：「撒萊的使女夏甲，你從哪裡來？要往哪裡去？」夏甲說：「我從我的主母撒萊面前逃出來。」 7 Now the angel of the LORD found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, by the spring on the way to Shur. 8 He said, “Hagar, Sarai’s maid, where have you come from and where are you going?” And she said, “I am fleeing from the presence of my mistress Sarai.”

18 Genesis 16:11 11 並說：「你如今懷孕要生一個兒子，可以給他起名叫以實瑪利 (就是神聽見的意思)，因為耶和華聽見了你的苦情。 11 The angel of the LORD said to her further, “Behold! you are with child, and you will bear a son; And you shall call his name Ishma-el (God hears), because the LORD has given heed to (the LORD has heard) your affliction.

Please go in to my maid; perhaps I will obtain children through her. (I will be established through her)” And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai. Establish 建立 banah Son 兒子 ben

36 Genesis 12:6-8 6亞伯蘭經過那地，到了示劍地方、摩利橡樹那裡。那時迦南人住在那地。 7耶和華向亞伯蘭顯現，說：「我要把這地賜給你的後裔。」亞伯蘭就在那裡為向他顯現的耶和華築了一座壇。 8從那裡他又遷到伯特利東邊的山，支搭帳棚；西邊是伯特利，東邊是艾。他在那裡又為耶和華築了一座壇，求告 (宣揚)耶和華的名。6 Abram passed through the land as far as the site of Shechem, to the oak of Moreh. Now the Canaanite was then in the land. 7 The LORD appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” So he built an altar there to the LORD who had appeared to him. 8 Then he proceeded from there to the mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; and there he built an altar to the LORD and called upon (proclaim/preach) the name of the LORD.
