To appreciate the wonders of the living world. 培養同學對奧妙生物世界的鑒賞,促進對生物的尊重。 To familiarize the structure, flora & fauna in a mangrove community. 認識紅樹林的生物種類和結構。

To familiarize some common ecological sampling techniques in studying mangrove habitat. 熟習紅樹林考察的一些基本原則和抽樣方法。

5 Remarks (1) 注意事項 (1) Dress in shorts & canvas shoes with adequate tread. Sandals are not recommended. Never walk on bare feet. 同學須穿著短褲及綁繩有坑紋橡膠底帆布鞋。涼鞋及赤腳皆不適宜。 Pay attention to the unstable substratum. 小心濕滑並鬆軟的基質。

Never step beyond the tide. 不准越過海岸線。 Do retreat before high tide. 漲潮前須撤退。 Be careful of the abandoned building materials, solid waste & cattle. 小心廢棄工業原料、垃圾和牛隻。

7 Remarks (3) 注意事項 (3) Be careful when you collect irritating plant species such as Excoecaria spp. 當心處理刺激性的植物如土沉香。 Start all measurement & study from the point closest to the water. 考察程序應由離岸區域開始。
