2 一、学 生 课 本 《牛津初中英语》按照 “话题—功能—结构—任务” 相结合的思路编排，以话题为主线，任务为主导，辅以功能和结构项目，有效培养学生综合运用英语的能力。各单元围绕一个话题展开，内容联系社会生活，贴近学生生活实际，富有时代气息，体现时代精神。围绕话题内容的是一系列的课堂活动和要求学生完成的任务，学生通过体验、实践、参与、合作、交流和探究等方式，学习和使用英语，真正体现以学习者为中心的教学理念。功能、语法和词汇是语言运用的重要基础，同样得到应有的重视。教材将语言知识置于生动的语言情景之中，使枯燥的语言学习成为真实、有趣的实践活动。 学 生 课 本 学 生 课 本

3 7A至9A每册书六个单元，9B 有4个单元。各单元包括:
卡通漫画（Comic strip） 导入（Welcome to the unit） 阅读（Reading） 词汇（Vocabulary） 语法（Grammar） 综合技能（Integrated skills） 学习技巧/语音（Study skills/Pronunciation） 中心任务（Main task） 检测（Checkout） 另外，每三个(两个）单元安排一个称为 “ 课题（Project）” 的板块。

9 第一单元 过去和现在 第三单元 在线旅游 本单元探讨的是时代变迁带来的变化和发展，涉及香港交通系统的变化。九龙寨的建筑规划和赤腊角的新机场。
第二单元 旅 游 本单元学生要了解世界各地不同的旅游地，然后完成一项描述有关他们自己最满意的假日或者理想中的假日的课题。 第三单元 在线旅游 本单元的主题是计算机。重点是关于教育类游戏光盘，但也涉及其硬件、软件和功能。

10 课 题 一 在本课题中，学生要写一个他们感兴趣的国家，目标是做一个信息文件夹，包括所选国家的细节情况。要求学生跟一个同班同学讨论自己的计划和想法，并利用图书馆、互联网、旅行社或者现有的其他途径对所选国家进行研究。文件夹应该包含的信息：人口、地理特征、语言、文化、气候、饮食、节日以及其他有趣的内容。应该鼓励学生使用尽可能多的信息资源，尽可能把文件夹做得有趣、悦目、信息丰富。

11 第四单元 义 演 在本单元，阳光中学的学生组织了一次义演募捐活动，重点讲述了年轻人如何为慈善事业作出实在的贡献。引导学生思考各种帮助他人的方法并说出他们对慈善活动的感受和态度。 第五单元 国际慈善机构 慈善机构通过公司、个人或其他途径的捐助来帮助处于困难中的人们。其他的方法还包括为不同的慈善机构捐献其所需物品、做义工等。

12 在本单元，学生了解参与慈善活动的有关情况以及他们如何支持像乐施会毅行者这样的活动。
第六单元 慈善步行 在本单元，学生了解参与慈善活动的有关情况以及他们如何支持像乐施会毅行者这样的活动。 慈善步行是一种为慈善机构募捐较为普遍的途径。参与者要找到赞助人，赞助者承诺捐献一笔钱或按公里捐献一定数额的钱。步行结束后，参与向要赞助者收取赞助款并交给慈善机构。目的是为某个事业筹款并引起人们对这一事业的关注。

13 课 题 二 在本课题部分，学生共同对他们所选的一个慈善机构进行研究，然后就自己所选的那个慈善机构做一次调查，看看其他人对此了解多少以及有什么看法。收集信息并以报告的形式呈现。

14 三、任 务 在以上的话题情景下， 各单元的中心任务（Main task）贯穿始终，各类活动均围绕中心任务展开，为完成中心任务（Main task） 做铺垫。中心任务（Main task）属于输出（Production），旨在培养学生口、笔头综合运用英语的能力。 每个模块的课题（Project）是对两个单元能力要求的进一步提升。
