3 查询题目的确定 (1) Do not hunt for subjects, let them choose you, not you them. 一个查询题目可以反映整个查询的重点，并对相应的查询过程有指导作用。 选择一个论题(topic)比选择一个主题(subject)更适合一篇期中作业。 确定查询题目(topic)的简单办法是看一些期刊论文题目。也可以使用电子数据库或索引，浏览某一主题范围内的相关题名。

5 查询题目的确定(3) 足够宽泛（broad）可以容纳各种信息类型。 足够有限（narrow）可以进行深入探讨
足够原创（original）可以激发你兴趣。 足够提供有价值（worthwhile）的信息。

6 在百科全书、辞典中查找相关文章 它不仅回答“什么(what)”，还要回答“何时”(when)、“何地”(where)“如何” “怎么” (how)和“为什么”(why)等问题。 It is wise to refer to encyclopedia for first guidance; it is priggish to disregard them; it is foolish to depend too much on them.
