报告人:Prof. Joel Yisraeli Faculty of Medicine, Hebrew University 时 间:2013年11月11日(周一)下午1:30-2:30 地 点:医学院综合楼701会议室 主持人:周以侹 研究员 Kang Ting 教授,先后于1991年和1994年在哈佛大学获得牙学D.M.D学位和博士学位,现任UCLA牙学院主任教授和矫齿正畸部主任,医学院外科系和生物工程系教授。  Abstract:  The family of VICKZ (IGF2BP) RNA binding proteins has been implicated in intracellular RNA localization, RNA stability, and translational control.  We have examined the role of these proteins in regulating neural crest emigration in the developing chick embryo, in cancer cells migrating in culture, and in mouse models for cancer progression and metastasis.  VICKZ proteins play essential, context-dependent roles in each of these systems, and, given their restricted, primarily oncofetal expression patterns,  represent attractive targets for directed therapies against cancer. 欢迎广大师生踊跃参加!
