9 Unit 3: Is this your pencil ?
The first period  Teaching aims: To learn to use the demonstratives “this, that”  To learn to use Yes/ No questions and short answers To learn to use the possessive pronouns  Learning and teaching content: New words: pencil, book, eraser, ruler, box, pencil box, dictionary, thank , English,  schoolbag, his , mine , hers  b)  Expressions : What’s this/that in English?       It’s a/an… c)  Patterns:  Is this your pencil?      Yes, it is. It’s mine .   /   No, it isn’t .It’s his .               Is that your schoolbag?   Yes, it is. It’s mine .  /   No, it isn’t . It’s hers .               Are these your books ?   Yes, they are .  /    No, they aren’t .They are hers Important points:     a) the names of the school things b) Yes/ No question and short answers c) What questions; Difficult points:  the usage of the possessive pronouns

10 教学设计 Step 1   Warming up  1.Revise and greetings . 2. Listen to a song “Pen and Pencil”   3. Ss listen to it and learn to sing it.   Step2.  Learning the new words  Ask Ss what school things they here.   2. Show pictures on PPT and teach the new words: pen  pencil  book eraser  ruler  pencil box  schoolbag  pencil  dictionary     (At the same time , teach the pronunciations.)    T: This is a pencil. (Write “This is…” on the blackboard.) That’s a pencil. (Write “That is …”.) Read the words in different ways. 3.Game: which is missing? (try to remember the words) 4.Practice :What’s this/that? It’s a/an… What are these/those? They’re…. (review the singular forms and plural forms.) (Write “These are…” on the blackboard.) (Write “Those are…” on the blackboard.)

Please discuss with your partners and check whether your answers are the same. 3．Check the answers .Let’s check the answers together. 4．Read Step4.  Presentation Model 1： Tell Ss that there are many things in the box. Ask them whose they are.   T:  Excuse me ,S1 .  Is this your pencil?   S1: Yes , it is.  It’s mine . 14 网络研修给了我们一个学习、交流的平台，是提高全体在职教师整体素质和促进教师专业化的有效途径。在这次远程教育培训期间我们都收获了很多。这次研修班的学习，使我们在思想上、业务理论上、工作实践上都受益匪浅。让我们在专业理论知识上有了进一步的学习与提高，专家们精彩的讲座，使本来枯燥无趣的理论变得深入浅出，让我们吸取了更多的工作实践经验， 达到自我提高的目的。
