May Grace Be Poured Upon Our Lips
May Grace Be Poured Upon Our Lips
4
2 Timothy 4.2-4 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

Psalm 45:2 You are the most excellent of men and your lips have been anointed with grace, since God has blessed you forever.

Psalm 45.6 Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom

1 Corinthians 11:17 -18 In the following directives I have no praise for you, for your meetings do more harm than good. In the first place, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and to some extent I believe it.
10
Proverbs 18:8 The words of a gossip are like choice morsels: they go down to a man's innermost part.
11
αμα δε και αργαι μανθανουσιν περιερχομεναι τας οικιας ου μονον δε αργαι αλλα και φλυαροι και περιεργοι λαλουσαι τα μη δεοντα Besides, they get into the habit of being idle and going about from house to house. And not only do they become idlers, but also busybodies who talk nonsense, saying things they ought not to. Phluaro [G5397], gossipy, loose talkers; i.e., babbling out whatever might come into their mind. Periergos [G4021], over careful, taking needless trouble, busybodies. The word marks a meddling habit, a perverted activity that will not content itself with minding its own concerns, but must busy itself about those of others.
13
James Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
14
Matthew 15:19-20 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders. These are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the man.
15
Matthew 12:36-37 But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”
16
Proverbs The tongue of the righteous is as choice silver. The heart of the wicked is worth little.
18
Ephesians 5:18-21 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
