2 人非有信,就不能得神的喜悅；因為到神面前來的人必須信有神，且信他賞賜那尋求他的人。
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. --希伯來書 Hebrews 11:6

3 耶和華在雲中降臨，和摩西一同站在那裡宣告耶和華的名。耶和華在他面前宣告說： 耶和華,耶和華，是有憐憫有恩典的神 ，不輕易發怒， 並有豐盛的慈愛和誠實，為千萬人存留慈愛，赦免罪孽,過犯，和罪惡，萬不以有罪的為無罪，必追討他的罪，自父及子直到三代” The Lord descended in the cloud and stood there with him as he called upon the name of the Lord. Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth; who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.” --出埃及記 Exodus 34:5-7
