Jesus has many who love his kingdom in heaven, but few who bear his cross. He has many who desire comfort, but few who desire suffering. He finds many to share his feast, but few his fasting. All desire to rejoice with him, but few are willing to suffer for his sake. Many follow Jesus to the breaking of bread, but few to the drinking of the cup of his passion. 5 When you fast, decide when and how long, and do it sincerely
Matthew 6: “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. 6 When you fast, spend time in prayer! 当你禁食时，把时间用在祷告上！

Praying for life and health: 2 Samuel 12:16 David pleaded with God for the child. He fasted and spent the nights lying in sackcloth on the ground. 9 When you fast, fasting drains your body, but feeds your soul
Psalm 42:1 As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” John 4:32 But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.” 詩篇 42:1   神啊，我的心切慕你， 如鹿切慕溪水。 馬太4:4 耶穌卻回答說：「經上 記著說：『人活著不是單靠食物， 乃是靠神口裡所出的一切話。』」 約翰4:32 耶穌說：「我有食物吃， 是你們不知道的。」

10 When you fast, let God reward you! 当你禁食时，让神亲自来报答你！
Matthew 6:18 and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 馬太 6:18 不叫人看出你禁食 來，只叫你暗中的父看見， 你父在暗中察看，必然報答 你。

11 Choose your days and meals to fast and pray for people to come to faith in Christ! 选择你禁食的日期和餐数 为灵魂归主禁食祷告！
