With 13 sites, including two in the US (San Francisco and Boston), one in Japan (Tokyo), one in England (London), one in China (Pekin) and one in Poland (at TPSA), France Telecom R&D supports the Group’s international development by extending its expertise to international subsidiaries, in particular Equant, Orange and Wanadoo/Freeserve. France Telecom R&D also has a representation office in China (Beijing). Activities outside France now account for 40% of our total activity. Our objective is to reach 60% by 2004. This international presence also enables France Telecom R&D to cooperate with major industrial groups, the international scientific community and regulatory bodies. .
