(Nowadays, people very often use the development of economies and technology as the gauge of modernization but ignore other issues, such as, establishing laws to protect themselves, the environment and the community. Society eventually will pay high cost for this oversight.) 2018/9/19 Libraries and Laws in the US (IMLS Project: Think Globally Act Globally)
(Laws are for establishing and protecting the livable society order and citizens’ rights and benefits. Every citizen and organization in society should be aware of the laws especially those closely affect them, be able to find the needed legal information and bring their concerns and cases for justice. Libraries are not only the place complying with and enforcing laws, but also the institution to collect, organize and disseminate laws, and have our voice heard in the process of legislation.) 2018/9/19 Libraries and Laws in the US (IMLS Project: Think Globally Act Globally)
(Laws are of the people, by the people and for the people. Citizens/tax payers involve in every issue closely affecting their rights and benefits) (To balance rights and not allow any part of society have absolute rights to other parts. It is not for one part to control another part in society.) (Law is to bound people’s action to certain actions.) (Knowing, complying with and respecting laws is very one’s responsibility knows in society. Legislation needs people’s involvement.) 2018/9/19 Libraries and Laws in the US (IMLS Project: Think Globally Act Globally)
