學習低成就孩子最顯著的困難 1.學習英文的觀念偏差 2. 學習意願非常低落 3. 學業成績明顯較同儕偏低很多 4. 信心低落 5. 需長期被鼓勵、被提醒

主題教學 (一) 國小1000單字的熟悉 Powerpoint 方式呈現英文單字，每週100字以內，反覆不斷讓孩子們跟著老師重複朗讀這些單字，加深印象，並於隔週重新朗誦，重新透過分組活動再重複一遍練習。有些字可教孩子透過聯想去熟記。(適時搭配圖片和動作)

主題教學 (二) 團體的互動和協助 1. 孩子分成四組，每組約4至5人。 2. 在1000單字主題教學部分，孩子們互相提醒同伴容易忘記的單字。每組在隔週會得到顏色紙，必須互相合作把所有(上週)學過的單字(中、英文) 寫出來。最高分的組別得到老師的禮物。

3. 在拼寫的部分， 尤其強調孩子們之間的互相合作、互相提醒正確的音和音節的組合。 4. 在動詞的部分，每次上課提到的動詞，孩子們互相示範動作，增加記憶。

5. 歌曲教唱時，孩子們互相勉勵，並互相分享自創的英文歌詞。 6. 塗鴉說英語:透過組員的默契和畫畫，把老師出的題目畫在黑板上，再讓組員猜單字，最高分獲得老師的禮物。

主題教學 (三) 歌曲的教唱和創作 播放 “Proud of you”，並請孩子透過分組討論，把能夠做到的事情都寫在歌詞中，除了學習英文單字， 也讓孩子對自己有信心，認識到自己所能做的事情還很多，也藉此讓組員互相認識。
