Phase structure
Summary Present model indicates that mixed phases of nuclear and quark matter appears, in the neutron star conditions, at a density a little bit above the nuclear saturation, and transit to pure quark phase at about six times the saturation. Therefore, a quark phase seems favorite in neutron stars. It hinders the appearance of kaon condensation.
