2 引言Introduction 中医学术当按照自身发展规律，在努力继承中发展，在突出特色中创新，这一发展方向大体已成共识；且普遍认为，中医学术数千年的蕴藏，其丰厚的潜力具有很大的后发优势。 The recognition that the TCM should develop and innovate according to its own regulation has developed into a common recognition. It has been widely accepted that TCM has immense later-come predominance result from TCM academic accumulations and rich potential of several thousand years.

3 第一部分：中医史上四次重大突破的启示 The first part: enlightenment from four important breakthroughs in TCM history
第一次重大创新与突破：是由东汉末年张仲景实现的。 The first significant innovation and breakthrough: Achived by Zhang Zhongjing in last years of the Eastern Han Dynasty. 第二次创新与突破：是由金元四大家之首刘完素促成的。 The second innovation and breakthrough: Procured by Liu Wansu,one of the four masters in Jin and Yuan Dynasty. 第三次创新与突破：是明末清初时期，由吴有性、叶天士为代表的温病学派完成的。 The third innovation and breakthrough: Accomplished by febrile disease school (representatives: Wu Youxing and Ye Tiansi) in late Ming dynasty and early Qing dynasty. 第四次创新与突破：是在上世纪五十年代，由当时的卫生部副部长郭子化、中医司司长吕炳奎领导和推进的。 The fourth innovation and breakthrough: Guided and accelerated by vice minister of Ministry of Health Guo Zihua and director of TCM department Lü Bingkui in the 1950s

4 由四次创新得到的启示 Enlightenment from the four important breakthroughs
上述四次创新与突破，影响是全局的，并有如下启示： The above four innovation and the breakthroughs have generated a general effect and brought us the following enlightenment （1）社会的急需和临床上的难治之症，就是创新的突破口；临床上的突破和疗效提高带动理论的创新； Innovation should root in urgent social demand and clinical obstinate disease; academic innovation should be drived by clinical breakthrough and improvement of curative effect. （2）创新与突破并不是与固有的学术体系决裂，而是充分吸取了前人的成就，结合实践中的新经验，提出新理论、新方法，从而推进学术和医疗水平的提高； Innovation and breakthrough should not break from the inherent academic system.We should absorb predecessors’ achievement well，combine with new practical experience and put forward new theory, new methods.Thus the academic and clinical level could be accelerated. （3）周期较长，千余年、数百年出现一次。 Relatively speaking ，the cycle of innovation and breakthrough is long.Innovation and breakthrough occurred every hundreds or thousands of years.

5 第二部分：当前中医学创新与突破的思考 The second part: thinking on present innovation and breakthrough of TCM
笔者长期从事临床工作，在前人几次创新与突破的启示下，就眼界所及的现实社会需要与中医学创新的突破对策作一思考，与同道共同探讨： The author has been engaged in clinical work for a long time. The previous innovation and breakthroughs inspired the author.The author would like to discuss the thinking of measures of TCM innovation and breakthrough based on social need. 一、当前，医学面临无药可治的“超级细菌”、病毒逐渐逼近的严重威胁，甚至引起社会不安。中医几千年的积累，经验丰富，我们要突破困境，首先应当发掘古代医家提供的现成的理法方药。 Nowadays，medicine is faced with gradual approached threaten of incurable “super bacterium” and virus which even cause the social unrest.TCM enjoys abundant accumulation and experience，the first step to break through the predicament should be to excavate the ready-made mechanisms,methods, Formulas and herbs provided by ancient doctors.

6 二、当前，医学界面对的一大批各类难治性慢性疾病
Nowadays，medicine is faced with large quantities of each kind of chronic diseases which are difficult to cure. 西医由于病因未明，大多只能对症治疗，甚至终身服药。中医辨证论治，针对性强，对这类疾病的治疗有一定优势。 There are no definite pathogeny in western medicine，therefore the treatments are just for symptoms，even some patients need to take lifelong medicine.TCM has certain superiority to this kind of disease's treatment because of syndrome differentiation and pertinent treatment. 要一个病一个病地总结出来，疗效确定下来，形成一个病一个病的最佳诊疗方案，就是创新性的成果。 We should summarize experience one disease by one disease to ensure the curative effect.Innovative achievement refers to the best diagnosing and treating strategy for a certain disease.

7 所谓最佳诊疗方案，是指采用现代医学病名（这并不影响突出中医特色），运用中医理法方药诊疗，疗效最好，具有相当优势，叙述清晰，可推广使用的方案。
The so-called best diagnosing and treating strategy refers to a strategy in which the names of diseases are described by western medicine terms(it do not affect prominent TCM characteristic),but the diagnosis and treatment are carried out by TCM.This kind of strategy has the best curative effect and giant predominance.The best strategy is described clearly and it can be widely used. 如能在未来5-10年，形成40-50个中医优势病种的最佳诊疗方案，则中医药必将更加大行于世。 If in next 5—10 years，we can form the best diagnosing and treating Strategies of 40—50 kinds of diseases in TCM，TCM must be to make more and more contributions to human being .

8 三、剂型改革，需进一步探索出一种既能满足中医辨证论治的需要，保持或超过传统中药汤剂的疗效，又能携带、服用方便的剂型。
The dosage-form reform，we need further explore to find out a better dosage-form which could not only correspond to syndrome differentiation and treatment of TCM，maintain or surpass the curative effect of the traditional dosage-form but also be convenient to carry and take.

9 结语Epilogue 社会需要就是机遇，就是突破口。我们要看到，当前，在以自主创新为焦点的新一轮全球性竞争中，西方医学正在建立“转化医学”模式，聚焦重大疾病防治的突破。中医药是中国的，也是世界的。中医药提供了自主创新的广阔空间，可以说，其每一项疗效确定的成果都是自主创新。你可以发掘、研究，别人也可以。作为中医药故乡的炎黄子孙，我中医药同仁一定要不愧对祖先。 The social need is an opportunity and a key for breakthrough. We must notice that presently focal point in new round global competition is independent innovation。The Western medicine is establishing the pattern of “the transformed medicine” which focuses on breakthrough of prevention and treatment for significant diseases. TCM belongs to China, also belongs to the whole world. TCM has provided a broad space for independent innovation.Every achievement of definite curative effect is the independent innovation. You may excavate and research TCM, others may also. As the TCM hometown's Chinese people, my TCM colleagues, let’s be ashamed of nothing to our ancestors.
