Singapore is a country – it is very small Officially name, the Republic of Singapore Located in Southeast Asia, off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula（马来半岛） Connected with Malaysia in the north, separated from Indonesia by the Singapore Strait to its south 6 hours flight away from Beijing （北京至香港距离的2倍）

Singapore is both old, and young Being part of the Empire Temasek（淡马锡，“Sea Town”）, it was inhabited since 2nd century AD, nearly 2000 years ago In 1826, Singapore became a British colony, even today it is still a member of the Commonwealth（英联邦国家） Claim independence in 1965 （今年刚刚46岁，比新中国年轻16岁）,with Lee Kuan Yew（李光耀） as prime minister

Lion City The English name of Singapore is come from its Malay name, “Singapura”, which means Lion City 新加坡是一个主要建在新加坡岛上的城市国家，原意为马来语的“狮城”。据马来史籍记载，公元１１５０年左右，苏门答腊的室利佛逝王国王子 Sang Nila Utama 乘船到达此岛，看见一头黑兽，当地人告知为狮子，之后便称此地为“狮城”。过去华侨多称其为“南洋”，即马来语“海峡”的意思，也有因其小而将之称为星洲、星岛的。 However, lions probably never lived there, the beast seen by the earliest settler was most likely a tiger

Merlion （鱼尾狮）： Symbol of Sigapore The Merlion Statue, 8.6 m high and weighing 40 tons, is one of Singapore's national icon. Built in 1972, the statue stood guard at the Mouth of the Singapore River, with water spouted from its mouth in a smooth downward curve. The Merlion is an imaginary creature with the head of a lion and the body of a fish. The lion head alludes to the legend of Singapore's name of "Lion City". The fish-tail represents Singapore's links to the ancient sea-bound island which was Temasek and its long and successful association with the sea, reflecting how its forefathers traversed the oceans to come to Singapore and its subsequent dependence upon it as a port.

National Flag 新加坡国旗由上红下白两个相等的横长方形组成，长与宽之比为３∶２。左上角有一弯白色新月和五颗白色五角星。红色代表人类的平等，白色象征纯洁和美德；新月象征国家，五颗星代表国家建立民主、和平、进步、正义和平等的思想。新月和五颗星的组合紧密而有序，象征着新加坡人民的团结和互助的精神。

Coat of arms 新加坡国徽由盾徽、狮子、老虎等图案组成。红色的盾面上镶有白色的新月和五角星，其寓意与国旗相同。红盾左侧是一头狮子，这是新加坡的象征，新加坡在马来语中是“狮子城”的意思；右侧是一只老虎，象征新加坡与马来西亚之间历史上的联系。红盾下方为金色的棕榈枝叶，底部的蓝色饰带上用马来文写着“前进吧，新加坡！”

BUS加坡的公路交通发达，公交车巴士网络遍布新加坡的大街小巷，到新加坡旅游乘坐巴士是一种又经济又方便的旅行方式。新加坡的市内交通工具主要有公交车、新航观光巴士、新捷运市内巴士三种，公交车的运营时间为早上6点到凌晨12点 MRT大众捷运系统，始建于1988年，是目前世界上最为发达、高效的公共交通系统之一。

到了新加坡才知道，Bra和Underwear是可以露在衣服外面的…… 到了新加坡才知道，睡衣睡裤是可以穿出门的…… 到了新加坡才知道，一双拖鞋是可以到“全国各地”的…… 到了新加坡才知道，大部分当地学生是蠢到一定境界的…… 到了新加坡才知道，女孩子身材是很好的但长相却是很丑的…… 到了新加坡才知道，女孩子抽烟是时髦的…… 到了新加坡才知道，穿环刺青是流行的…… 到了新加坡才知道，来这的中国人十有八九的人都会胖的…… 到了新加坡才知道，红灯区的“小姐”有持就业证的，够狠……   到了新加坡才知道，啥都进口的，连水都是马来西亚运输过来的…… 到了新加坡才知道，10岁以下的孩手机比大人好是不足为奇的……   到了新加坡才知道，中国留学的都是来浪费钱的，泡D吧、酒吧…… 到了新加坡才知道，学校早、中、晚三班制和中国地狱天堂之别的……   到了新加坡才知道，吃饭的食阁都是连锁店，没啥特色小吃真腻…… 到了新加坡才知道，一天是可以不吃三餐的，零餐一餐或五餐是正常的 到了新加坡才知道，家庭琐事政府要管的，盐吃多少政府规定的

到了新加坡才知道，咖喱挺美味的，但大部分中国人都不喜欢…… 到了新加坡才知道，榴莲是不能带上巴士的那味道真的能让我晕…… 到了新加坡才知道，一天3场-5场雨很正常的，比人变脸还快……   到了新加坡才知道，明星大街小巷随处可见的，有空看，不夸张…… 到了新加坡才知道，叫叔叔阿姨是没人理你的，称安哥安绨…… 到了新加坡才知道，圣诞乌节路会挤死，春节牛车水水泄不通…… 到了新加坡才知道，一眼望去是能见到不同肤色的人的不要惊讶…… 到了新加坡才知道，每人起码懂三种语言，一句话掺上N种方言……   到了新加坡才知道，KFC&MDL‘S是学生做作业和玩游戏的场所…… 到了新加坡才知道，红包还有包4块的，拜年2个橘子回还拿回2个…… 到了新加坡才知道，唱成那样也能出专辑的，人才真少之为少…… 到了新加坡才知道，井底之蛙是有的，以为中国没有手机不会电脑的 到了新加坡才知道，新加坡的人出了没有红绿灯是不会过马路的..... 到了新加坡才知道，狐臭的人很多的，香水乱喷是正常的..... 到了新加坡才知道，吃饭可以用左手抓，大便可以用右手擦的 到了新加坡才知道，新加坡的厨房是用来看的，一年用不上两三次的.....

到了新加坡才知道，包子是要剥了皮吃的 到了新加坡才知道，拜佛信神比任何国家都夸张的..... 到了新加坡才知道，上白班的上班下班天都是黑的，上晚班的上班下班天都是亮的..... 到了新加坡才知道，女孩和女孩手拉手人家就会认为是“拉拉”的…… 到了新加坡才知道，同事间最多问的就是你啥时候回去？还来吗…… 到了新加坡才知道，人会如此的无聊的，呆久了会神经&痴呆的…… 到了新加坡才知道，一天花上几千RMB是很正常，数字太诱人了…… 到了新加坡才知道，晒衣服像降半旗似的，独一无二的风景线……   到了新加坡才知道，中国贵的这便宜，中国便宜的这贵，唱反调…… 到了新加坡才知道，双方家长同意16岁结婚也是可以的…… 到了新加坡才知道，单身超多，要不半个孩子也不要，不然好几个…… 到了新加坡才知道，孩子越多国家给抚养费越多，光耀提倡的政策…… 到了新加坡才知道，马来女人越胖就代表老公对她越好，用吨形容…… 到了新加坡才知道，学生穿校服是很邋遢的，化装像鬼样的…… 到了新加坡才知道，拿病假要经过医生同意给你MC公司才承认……

到了新加坡才知道，回个国还要交5000新币押金的，可恶…… 到了新加坡才知道，吵到邻居会被complaint的，没人情味的冷血…… 到了新加坡才知道，感冒高烧会被误认为"骨痛热症"给隔离的…… 到了新加坡才知道，毛孔放大，女孩雄性激素过多，胡子会很长……   到了新加坡才知道，通过那张脸就能知道月球表面长什么样了…… 到了新加坡才知道，知道的是很多的，写不完的 到了新加坡才知道，以上所写的只有身临其境才明白的…… 总结新加坡就是： 环境还是很美的， 但是地方却是很小的还是很高的； 赚人民币花新币是很郁闷的， 但是赚新币花人民币却是很爽的； 看不起中国人的新加坡人都是很垃圾的， 但是在新加坡的中国人却永远都是最好的……
