7 Many people prefer light skin to dark skin believing that it helps improve their life and caters to the social standard of beauty. Therefore, skin-lightening products are gaining greater popularity across many areas of the world. However, bleaching products containing chemicals have long-lasting harmful effects on physical health. What’s worse, it may fail to achieve expected results and cause emotional damage.

9 写信目的 I have learned that Couchsurfing is a virtual community aimed at helping tourists find their accommodation and building up close relationship (association / bond) with locals. Interested in this non-profit international network, I am writing this letter to apply for its membership. Eager to join it , I am writing to apply to be a member of… Crazy about travelling and keen to be a couch surfer, I am writing in the hope of obtaining an opportunity to be your member.

Familiar with my city, I am enthusiastic to show the tourists around whenever I am available. My parents are friendly , especially my mother who is good at cooking and can provide delicious meals for them if necessary.

12 With three bedrooms available, my two-storey house can admit several “couch surfers”. Besides, I’m eager to befriend tourists of the same interests, enjoy their wonderful travelling stories and get immersed in diverse cultures.
