4 Los Angeles Los Angeles is often called L.A. It is one of the largest cities in the US.

5 Hollywood Hollywood, in northwestern(西北) L.A., is the heart of the movie industry(产业). It is famous for Universal Studios(环球影城), one of the world’s largest movie studio(电影制片厂).

6 Santa Monica Santa Monica has a beautiful beach and the surrounding area(周边地区) is very pleasant with some good museums of modern(现代的) art.

7 Disneyland Disneyland is a theme(主题) park. It is not far from L.A. It is like a fantasy(幻想) world built around Disney’s famous stories and movie characters(角色): Mickey Mouse, Snow White, Cinderella etc.

8 Pacific Ocean The Pacific Ocean is the body of water between Asia and Australia in the west and the America in the east. It is the largest named ocean and it covers(覆盖) one-third of the surface(表面) of the world.
