Dear Jack, I had a very unusual experience on Sunday. At around 10 o’clock in the morning, I was walking down the street when a UFO landed right in front of me. You can imagine how strange it was! An alien got out and walked down the Center Street, I followed it to see where it was going, and I was surprised when it went into a souvenir shop. While it was looking at the souvenirs, the shop assistant called the police. Before the police arrived, it left the shop and then visited the Museum of Flight. While the alien was in the Museum, I called the TV station. Isn’t that amazing! 9

猜词:根据上下文内容猜测;根据语法结构猜测;根据构词法猜测;根据定义、解释猜测;通过对比关系来猜测;根据signal words猜测。 略读(scan):阅读书或文章的标题、副标题、小标题、斜体字、黑体字、脚注等;阅读文章开头的第一、二段,力求抓住文章大意、背景情况、文章风格等;阅读段落的主题句和结论句,关注句中的动词、名词、形容词、转折词和序列词等。 寻读(skim):利用材料的编排形式,如词典、索引等的排列顺序。力求找出其中排列的逻辑方法;利用章节标题和说明;抓关键词或与关键词相近、相反的词。
