2 Outline The definition of performance facility
Introduction to the Taipei Arena and the Kaohsiung Arena Crucial Factors: Transportation and location Other performance facilities and theaters in Taiwan: cultural centers, Huashan1914 creative park, The Red House, National Theater, Concert Hall, etc. Other famous Arena or theaters around the world: Sydney Opera House, National Stadium in Beijing, the London Olympic stadium, and the House of Dancing Water in Macao, etc.

3 The definition of performance facility
A performance facility is a man-made structure or space designed for artistic performances, exhibitions, sports events, public gatherings, or other purposes. A good space is essential for an event to succeed. Range from small, private house to big, public stadiums, performance facilities come in various configurations.

4 Taipei Arena Opened in 2005. Built on the same site of the outdated Taipei Baseball Stadium. Capacity: 15,350 people. Suitable for wide range of events. Features the largest LED wall in Taiwan.

5 Kaohsiung Arena Opened in 2009. Capacity: 15,000 people.
Overall shape is closer to a true circle than the Taipei Arena. (50 meter only) Suitable for wide range of events, such as live concert, exhibition, ball games, and Ballroom dancing.

10 How to approach spectators
Location and accessibility are two major contributors. Taipei and Kaohsiung Arenas are well served by MRT lines. Meet commercial demands (for large-scale performance events)

13 Huashan1914 creative park 華山藝文中心
華山文化園區於1916年建立。位於 台北市中正區忠孝東路、八德路交 叉路口及金山南路、金山北路交叉 口一帶。佔地72,000平方公尺。主 要為四連棟、烏梅酒廠、辦公室、 果酒禮堂、行政大樓、藝術大街以 及沒有開發到的部分。 倉庫展館＞ ＜街頭藝人表演

15 National Theater Concert Hall 國家兩廳院
國家級文藝機構，是台灣最重 要的藝文表演機構之一 國家交響樂團、 表演藝術雜誌社、 表演藝術圖書館等文化設施， 以及兩廳院售票系統，其業務 均由兩廳院負責。

26 The house of dancing water in Macao 水舞間
劇場：「水舞間劇院」由著名的貝氏 建築事務所度身打造、與Dragone場 景設計師Michel Crête先生合作並創 作而成的水舞間劇院隆重公演。 水池：匯演於全球最大的商用水池上 演，水池容量約為370萬加侖，是奧 運會比賽標準泳池容量的五倍以上。 自然化糸統 (主力升降機)：在匯演 進行期間，八台劇院舞台主力升降機 連同三台輔助升降機可於不足一分鐘 內，將約26呎深的水上舞台變回陸地 舞台。

空中舞台：40多部由電腦控制的吊機、 索具、滑輪及升降機，成為了「水舞 間」的空中舞台，讓演員能夠做出驚 心動魄的空中表演。整個空中舞台距 離水池約17米。 噴泉效果：升降舞台內置約239個獨 立噴水口，水柱高度可達約18米。 控制總部：控制總部是「水舞間」大 型匯演的指揮樞紐，設於水舞間劇院 二樓，於觀眾席之上。
