3 Background The Vietnam War (Vietnamese: Chiến tranh Việt Nam) was a Cold War-era military conflict that occurred in Vietnam, Laos, andCambodia from 1 November 1955 to the fall of Saigon on 30 April 1975. 18 About love I thought you'd drop me, but you didn't. yes, there were lots of things you didn't do. but you put up with me, and loved me, and protected me. there were lot of things I wanted make up to you when you returned from Vietnam. BUT YOU DIDN'T.

19 Background: The author is an ordinary American woman, her husband was drafted into the army to go to the Vietnam battlefield, later unfortunately killed. The saddest thing is not to ignore you, nor he does not love you, but he's gone.
