本草綱目記載 【分類】 菜部柔滑類 本經上品 【氣味】 甘溫，平無毒 【功效】 【氣味】 甘溫，平無毒 【功效】 傷中，補虛羸，除寒熱邪氣，補中益氣力，長肌肉，強陰，久服耳目聰明 輕身不饑延年。（本經） 主頭面游風，頭風目眩，下氣，止腰痛，治虛勞羸瘦，充五臟，除煩熱。（別錄） 補五勞七傷，去冷風，鎮心神，安魂魄，補心氣不足，開達心孔，多記事。（甄權） 強筋骨，主泄精健忘。（大明） 益腎氣，健脾胃，止洩痢，化痰涎，潤皮毛。（時珍） 生擣貼腫硬毒，能消散。（震亨）

山中入歧路 根芋來止飢 在永和初年，有一采藥農到衡山上採藥。忽然迷路，所帶 乾糧業已食盡，只好躺在一山崖下休息。忽見一老翁，鶴 髮童顏，飄然而至，在石壁上作書。采藥人急忙上前求以 食物，並請教出山之路。老翁給了他一些外形似芋，甘甜 如薯的東西，即山藥，並指點回家之路。六天之後，果然 返回家中，腹中還不覺饑餓，才知山藥功用之奇特。
