subject指討論、著作、美術等所處理的題目或主題;topic特別指某作品或議論的一部份所處理的題目或話題,規模較小;theme則是指成為著作、演說為基礎的概念和想法。

someday指的是「未來的某一天」,搭配未來式;one day可以指「未來的某一天」(即someday)也可以指「過去的某一天」,搭配過去式,意近於the other day「幾天前」;另外some other day則是表示「改天」,搭配未來式,例︰ Frank wishes he could form his own company one day. Someone broke into the house one day. David heard from his old friend the other day. Yvet is not here. Maybe you should come some other day.
