耶和华的使者从吉甲上到波金，对以色列人说，我使你们从埃及上来，领你们到我向你们列祖起誓应许之地。我又说，我永不废弃与你们所立的约。 2 你们也不可与这地的居民立约，要拆毁他们的祭坛。你们竟没有听从我的话。为何这样行呢？ The angel of the LORD went up from Gilgal to Bokim and said, "I brought you up out of Egypt and led you into the land that I swore to give to your forefathers. I said, 'I will never break my covenant with you, - Judges 2:1

你要专心仰赖耶和华，不可倚靠自己的聪明。 6 在你一切所行的事上，都要认定他，他必指引你的路。 7 不要自以为有智慧。要敬畏耶和华，远离恶事。 8 这便医治你的肚脐，滋润你的百骨。 9 你要以财物，和一切初熟的土产，尊荣耶和华。 10 这样，你的仓房，必充满有余，你的酒榨，有新酒盈溢。 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. 8 This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. 9 Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; 10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine. – Proverbs 3:5-10

耶和华说，我知道我向你们所怀的意念是赐平安的意念，不是降灾祸的意念，要叫你们末后有指望。 12 你们要呼求我，祷告我，我就应允你们。 13 你们寻求我，若专心寻求我，就必寻见。 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. – Jeremiah 29:11-13

不要模仿这个世代，倒要借着心意的更新而改变过来，使你们可以察验出什么是 神的旨意，就是察验出什么是美好的、蒙他悦纳的和完全的事。(CNV) 不要效法这个世界。只要心意更新而变化，叫你们察验何为神的善良，纯全可喜悦的旨意。 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will. – Romans 12:2

因此我又说，我必不将他们从你们面前赶出。他们必作你们肋下的荆棘。他们的神必作你们的网罗。 Now therefore I tell you that I will not drive them out before you; they will be thorns in your sides and their gods will be a snare to you.“ – Judges 2:3

那世代的人也都归了自己的列祖。后来有别的世代兴起，不知道耶和华，也不知道耶和华为以色列人所行的事。 After that whole generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation grew up, who knew neither the LORD nor what he had done for Israel. – Judges 2:10

以色列人行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，去事奉诸巴力， 12 离弃了领他们出埃及地的耶和华他们列祖的神，去叩拜别神，就是四围列国的神，惹耶和华发怒。 13 并离弃耶和华，去事奉巴力和亚斯他录。 14 耶和华的怒气向以色列人发作，就把他们交在抢夺他们的人手中，又将他们付与四围仇敌的手中，甚至他们在仇敌面前再不能站立得住。 15 他们无论往何处去，耶和华都以灾祸攻击他们，正如耶和华所说的话，又如耶和华向他们所起的誓。他们便极其困苦。 Then the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the LORD and served the Baals. 12 They forsook the LORD, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of Egypt. They followed and worshiped various gods of the peoples around them. They provoked the LORD to anger 13 because they forsook him and served Baal and the Ashtoreths. 14 In his anger against Israel the LORD handed them over to raiders who plundered them. He sold them to their enemies all around, whom they were no longer able to resist. 15 Whenever Israel went out to fight, the hand of the LORD was against them to defeat them, just as he had sworn to them. They were in great distress. – Judges 2:11-15

人在最小的事上忠心，在大事上也忠心。在最小的事上不义，在大事上也不义。 "Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. – Luke 16:10

但各人被试探，乃是被自己的私欲牵引诱惑的。 15 私欲既怀了胎，就生出罪来。罪既长成，就生出死来。 but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. – James 1:14-15

弟兄们，你们蒙召，是要得自由。只是不可将你们的自由当作放纵情欲的机会。总要用爱心互相服事。 14 因为全律法都包在爱人如己这一句话之内了。 15 你们要谨慎。若相咬相吞，只怕要彼此消灭了。 16 我说，你们当顺着圣灵而行，就不放纵肉体的情欲了。 17 因为情欲和圣灵相争，圣灵和情欲相争。这两个是彼此相敌，使你们不能作所愿意作的。 18 但你们若被圣灵引导，就不在律法以下。 19 情欲的事，都是显而易见的。就如奸淫，污秽，邪荡， 20 拜偶像，邪术，仇恨，争竞，忌恨，恼怒，结党，纷争，异端， 21 嫉妒，（有古卷在此有凶杀二字）醉酒，荒宴等类，我从前告诉你们，现在又告诉你们，行这样事的人，必不能承受神的国。 You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. 14 The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." 15 If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other. 16 So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. 17 For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law. 19 The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like t his will not inherit the kingdom of God. – Galatians 5:13-21

耶和华兴起士师，士师就拯救他们脱离抢夺他们人的手。 17 他们却不听从士师，竟随从叩拜别神，行了邪淫，速速地偏离他们列祖所行的道，不如他们列祖顺从耶和华的命令。 Then the LORD raised up judges, who saved them out of the hands of these raiders. 17 Yet they would not listen to their judges but prostituted themselves to other gods and worshiped them. Unlike their fathers, they quickly turned from the way in which their fathers had walked, the way of obedience to the LORD's commands. – Judges 2:16-17
