We currently sell around 700000mt of Cr ore and produce around 1.3 million tons of Ferrochrome including Serov. We are also selling around 800,000mt of Mn ore and 140,000mt of Mn ore. With a price of over 11/Mtu of manganese maybe manganese will be the subject of our next round of seminars. The reason we set up this seminar was that during the roadshow and since there were many questions relating to the ferrochrome business. Chrome of course is not a market that is widely followed by city analysts. There are of course a number of specialist analysts who do but I think it was fair to say there appeared an interest to learn more about the industry.

Donskoy is the world‘s largest chrome mine. Both opencast and highly mechanised underground operations the mine produces around 4 million tons per annum of chrome ore. Aksu has 26 furnaces and produces around 1000000mt per annum mainly standard high carbon ferrochrome . Aktobe has 16 furnaces and produces around 300000mt of more specialised grades.of alloy.
