In the 2007 District Council Election, the number of registered electors aged 61 or above who cast their votes was about 292,000, accounting for 25.4% of the total number of electors casting their votes.  In the 2008 Legislative Council Election, the number of registered electors aged 61 or above who cast their votes was about 344,000, accounting for 22.6% of the total number of electors casting their votes.  在二○○七年區議會選舉中投票的六十一歲或以上登記選民約有292,000人，佔該選舉總投票人數25.4%。而在二○○八年立法會選舉中投票的六十一歲或以上登記選民約有344,000人，佔該選舉總投票人數22.6%。
