The Best Example Romans 15:1-6

The Best Example 1We who are strong ought to bear with the failings [weaknesses] of the weak [non strong] and not to please ourselves. 2 Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up.  1我們堅強[堅固]的人，應該擔當不堅強[不堅固]的人的軟弱，不應該求自己的喜悅。 2 我們各人務要叫鄰舍喜悅，好讓他得到益處、得到造就。

The Best Example  3 For even Christ did not please himself but, as it is written: “The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.”4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope. 3 因 為 基 督 也 不 求 自 己 的 喜 悅 ， 如 經 上 所 記 ： 辱 罵 你 人 的 辱 罵 都 落 在 我 身 上 。 4 從 前 所 寫 的 聖 經 都 是 為 教 訓 我 們 寫 的 ， 叫 我 們 因 聖 經 所 生 的 忍 耐 和 安 慰 可 以 得 著 盼 望 。

The Best Example Believers have a duty to bear with each other’s weaknesses. Weaknesses may include: spiritual/faith, physical/emotional/personality shortcomings, etc.

The Best Example Ought to bear with [bastazō] = --To carry or to pick up (lit.) --To put up with, to bear patiently with (fig.) Do it with an attitude of love and patience!

The Best Example Believers have a duty bear with each other’s weaknesses. Believers should seek to please our neighbors.

The Best Example 5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, 6 so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 5 但 願 賜 忍 耐 安 慰 的 神 叫 你 們 彼 此 同 心 ， 效 法 基 督 耶 穌 ，6 一 心 一 口 榮 耀 神 ─ 我 們 主 耶 穌 基 督 的 父 ！

The Best Example Believers have a duty bear with each other’s weaknesses. Believers should not seek to please ourselves. Jesus is our Best Example.

The Best Example Believers have a duty bear with each other’s weaknesses. Believers should seek to please our neighbors. Jesus is the Best Example. When believers imitate Jesus’ example, God is glorified.
