淡化语法条目，侧重阅读和写作中综合运用语言的能力，例如：词汇和语法在语篇中的灵活运用。 更重视阅读和写作能力。尤其是语篇逻辑分析、概括提炼能力和准确获取具体信息能力。

4 2014年辽宁高考英语试题的变化 三.题型调整：新增语篇型语法填空题，取消单选题。
    在一篇200词左右的语篇（短文或对话）中留出10处空白，部分空白的后面给出单词的基本形式，要求考生根据上下文填写空白处所需的内容或所提供单词的正确形式，所填写词语不得多于3个单词。考生需灵活运用语法知识，如单词词性、动词时态、名词单复数、连接词、代词、冠词、介词等，判断各空白处应填写的内容。其目的是考查考生理解语篇的能力、分析句子结构的能力及熟练运用语法知识的能力。
