2 指出某者比另一個更有特色時,就要用到比較級.
定 義 要比較兩者(兩個或兩群體), 指出某者比另一個更有特色時,就要用到比較級. 會用到連接詞than這個字. 例如: 1. Jerry is taller than she. 2. Athena is more beautiful than Coco. 3. Today is cooler than yesterday.

(一)規則變化 形容詞 原級 比較級 形成規則 單音節 tall taller 形容詞字尾加er. nice nicer 形容詞字尾是e,直接加r. hot hotter 字尾是:「子音+短母音+子音」,比較級為 重覆字尾加er. 雙音節 easy easier 字尾是y,比較級為去y加ier careful more careful 字前加 more. 多音節 beautiful more beautiful 三音節以上的字,比較級為在字前加 more.

5 比較級的句型 1. 基本結構 A + bev. + 比較級 +than +B. (bev.)
Ex: An elephant is bigger than a hippo. 比較級要與同一類型的事物做比較.例如:人與人,事與事或物與物.不可人與物比. Ex: His eyes are bigger than _______ . (O) His eyes are bigger than I.(X) His eyes are bigger than my.(X) 小秘訣 = my eyes mine
