1 虚拟语气 (Subjective Mood)
虚拟语气是一种动词形式，表示说话人的一种愿望，假设，怀疑，猜测， 建议等含义，虚拟语气所表示的含义不是客观存在的事实。 If I had time, I could come to help you. 如果我有时间，我会来帮助你的。 He suggested that our class should be divided into five groups. 他建议说我们的班应该分成五个小组。 He speaks to us as if he had been there. 他给我们讲的好象他去过那儿。

2 虚拟语气的用法 (简单句中) 虚拟语气用在简单句中，表示祝愿，命令 　　May you be happy. 　　祝你幸福。 　　May you have a good time. 　　祝愿你玩的痛快。 　　May the friendship between us last long. 　　祝愿我们的友情天长地久。 　　Have a good journey! 　　祝愿你旅途愉快！ 　　You go out！ 　　你出去！

4 虚拟语气的用法 (非真实条件从句中) 例句 If I were rich, I would buy a car immediately.
如果我有钱，就会立即买一辆小车。 If you had spoken clearly, you would have been understood. 要是当初你说清楚了，别人就会理解你的意思。 If I were to be reborn, I would be a doctor. 我如果有来生，要当一名医生。 If she got another chance to do it, she might succeed. 他如果有机会再做一次，可能会成功的。（但成功的可能性不大）

5 虚拟语气的用法 (用于倒装句) Were I young, I would learn English. 我如果年轻，会去学英语。
Had he studied harder, he would have passed the exams. 他如果再努力一些的话，是可以通过这些考试的。 Should you change your mind, no one would blame you. 如果你改变自己的观点，没有人会指责你。 形式 从句 主句 If 省略 Were + 主语 + 名词/ 形容词 Had + 主语 + 过去分词 Should + 主语 + 动词原形 should, would 动词原形 主语 could, might have 过去分词

6 虚拟语气的用法 (宾语从句中) 虚拟语气用于wish/suggest 等后面的宾语从句 wish 后的宾语从句
were / did（现在）I wish I were taller./ I wish I had a car. I wish (that)+ had done （过去）I wish I had been to the party yesterday. would do （将来） I wish it would stop raining tomorrow. suggest, order, request, demand, insist, propose 等动词后面的从句中 主语 +insist, suggest 等 +that +主语+ (should) +动词原形 We suggested that the meeting (should) be postponed. It is requested that a vote (should) be taken.

7 虚拟语气的用法 (宾语从句中) 虚拟语气用于 would rather, would sooner, would prefer 等宾语从句
would rather 过去式 / were would sooner + 主语 had done would prefer should / would / could / might + do I’d rather you didn’t make any comment on the issue now. 我宁愿你暂时不对这个问题做评论。 I would prefer you had returned the book yesterday.. 我希望你昨天把书还了。 I would rather die than he should know the secret. 我宁愿死，也不愿意他知道这个秘密。

8 虚拟语气的用法 (主语从句中) 虚拟语气用在主语从句中
It is important (necessary, strange, natural等) that （should）+ do It‘s necessary that you should be present at the discussion. 你有必要参加讨论。 It's natural that she should do so. 她这样做是很自然的。 It's important that we should take good care of the patient. 重要的是我们要照顾好病人。 It was essential that the matter be discussed at the next meeting. 这件事有必要在下次会议上讨论。

9 虚拟语气的用法 (as if / as though 引起的方式状语从句中)
She loves the children in the kindergarten as if they were her own. 她很爱幼儿园里的孩子，好象他们是她自己的孩子似的。 He talks as if he had known the news yesterday. 他说起话来好象他昨天已知道这个消息。 The tree looks as though it hadn’t been watered for a long time. 那棵树看起来似乎很长时间没有浇水了。 主句 从句 主语+谓语 主语 + 过去式 / were as if 主语 + had done

10 虚拟语气的用法 (It is time 后) It is (high/about) time (that) +主语+ were/过去式
It is high time that children went to school. 孩子们该去上学去了。 It is about time you made up your mind. 是你作出决定的时候了。 It’s time they were taught a lesson. 是他们接受教训的时候了。 It is high time that we raised the level of our education. 该是提高我们教育水平的时候了。
