3 实训目的 通过实训了解如何制定计划、安排以及如何约会; 了解如何预定酒店,并与访客进行友好性对话。

4 实训要求 1.了解如何为出差制定计划和安排。 2. 掌握通过电话安排约会的技巧和程序。 3. 了解传真的书写格式和要求。
4. 了解备忘录的书写格式和要求。 5. 通过比较各酒店相关信息,预定所需酒店客房。 6. 掌握与访客开展友好性对话的方法和禁忌。

5 Warming up Brainstorming the arrangements that have to be made for a trip. If your families are going to see you in Hefei Q1: What would you like to arrange for them? Q2: Where are they going to stay? Q3:Where are they going to visit?

6 Task 1 Discussing arrangements
A Discussion 1. Looking at the photographs and discussing what the situations are and match the verbs to the nouns. Such as: catching a plane, visiting a factory, having dinner/a meeting.

8 B Listening 1. Students look at the requirements and the diary and think what Susan Morris might do. 2. Explanation: Diary is agenda, calendar or datebook in American English.

9 3. Listen to the recording for the first time and try to fill in as much information in the diary as possible 4. Listen to the recording a second time and manage to discuss the answers before playing the recording again. Wong, Goh and Hu.

11 C Group Discussion 1. We have learnt the future as will + infinitive. While in English a present progressive tense is often used to talk about the future, in particular when an arrangement has already been made.

2.Students look at the examples. We can see that there are the use of time expression to indicate that the future is being talked about.

13 3. Students look at the diary and then make sentences based on Susan's schedule.

14 Suggested answers: She's having lunch with the director on Tuesday. She's having dinner with a new agent on Tuesday evening. She's meeting Mr. Enrique on Wednesday afternoon. She's flying to Melbourne on Thursday morning.

15 D Writing 1. Students look at the fax and decide when Mr. Harold wants to see Susan. They can suggest their own time. 2. Students write the fax from Susan to Harold.

16 Fax 传真格式简单,操作方便,可以按照信函的格式书写.传真以发送时间长短计费,因此要写得简便.传真既有备忘录的特点,又有电子邮件的特点.传真没有特殊的语言要求,相对来说比较自由.

18 备忘录(Memorandums or Memos)是一种录以备忘的公文。在公文函件中,它的等级比较低,重要用来提醒、督促对方,或就某个问题提出看法或意见。从严格意义上说它不被称为函件(Letter),但现在人们在商务书信交往中越来越多的使用这种形式。备忘录通常使用标准格式,如下:Title, To, From, Subject/Re. Date,Body(必备) MEMORANDUM(可省) To: From: Date Subject: Body_____________________________________________________________________________________________________.

19 1. 备忘录必须语气恰当,措辞得体。如:资历较浅的员工向老板汇报或提建议语气就应该正式而委婉,要求严格的经理向员工提出要求语气要正式肯定,同事就确定午餐会日期提出的建议委婉非正式,考虑周到的经理欢迎新员工语气肯定而非正式。 措辞分正式、较正式或非正式,语气分肯定、较肯定或委婉。 A: I should like you to give me a record of... B: Do you think it would be possible to... C: I understand that Mr. Feng was unaware of the situation. D: I’m afraid it was me who confused the invoice.
