Too Loud 太吵了 對話 Rose：James, I remember when we used to walk around this museum when we were only boyfriend and girlfriend. 蘿絲：詹姆斯，我記得我們還是男女朋友時常來這個博物館走走。 James：That was a long time ago. Things sure have changed since then. 詹姆斯：那是好久以前的事了。從那之後很多事情都變了。 Rose：Yes. This place used to be so relaxing. Now, it's too loud. I've seen three tours in three different languages walk by in the past 10 minutes. 蘿絲：是啊。這個地方以前氣氛很輕鬆的。現在太吵了。光是過去這十分鐘我就看到三個講不同語言的旅行團經過。 James：Yes, but by gaining popularity, the museum can host more exhibits of famous artists. There's a collection of Picassos downstairs right now. 詹姆斯：是啊，但是隨著名氣漸響，這座博物館可以主辦更多知名藝術家的展覽。樓下現在就有畢卡索的作品。 Rose：I guess that's the trade-off. 蘿絲：我想這就是有得有失吧。 James：Let's head down there now. 詹姆斯：我們現在下樓去吧。 Rose：Yeah, I think another tour group is coming. 蘿絲：好啊，我想又有另一個旅行團來了。

延伸學習 used to V 過去經常…… 這是一個固定的片語，表示過去的習慣，但現在已不這樣做了。例如：He used to smoke like a chimney, but he finally got rid of that bad habit.（他以前是個老菸槍，但他終於戒掉了這個壞習慣。）be used to + V-ing 則是指習慣做某事，這裡的to是介系詞，之後要接動名詞。 since then 自那時起 since在這裡為介詞，表「自從……」，其後可接明確的時間，表「自某時間起」。例如：We have lost contact with each other since 1996.（我們自1996年起就失去聯絡了。）since 之後若接動名詞，則表「自從做了……之後」。 出自:
