A. Reports and Grades 报告和成绩 They contain 内容包括: Teacher grades and comments for each subject 各科目教师评分和评语 Discipline Record & Conduct Points 考勤和行为积分

Reports and Grades 报告和成绩 Progress Report 进度报告 Comments are internal, for guidance only 评语仅供内部参考，用来指导学生 Report shows whether grades are summative or formative 报告会显示评分是过程性还是总结性的 Attendance and conduct are important 出勤和行为表现都很重要 Minimum 90% attendance needed to pass 各科目要求90%以上的出勤率 Still time to change and improve 还有时间去改变和提高

Reports and Grades 报告和成绩 Summative grades will contribute to final grades and final GPA 总结性评分将计入最终的成绩和GPA Summative assessments measure whether student has learnt the material 总结性评价方式衡量学生是否掌握了学习材料 This means end of topic tests, end of semester 1 exam, end of semester 2 exam 包括各种专题的测试，第一学期期末考试，第二学期期末考试 Also coursework such as long essays, reports, presentations, labs for science subjects 也包括科目作业，例如长论文，报告，自我展示，自然科学学科的实验部分

Reports and Grades 报告和成绩 Teachers have given students a clear guide at the beginning of the course how they will get their grade老师会在课程初始给到学生关于如何评分的清晰的指引 All subjects similar: 50% for tests, 30% for exams, 20% for coursework and labs 所有科目类似，例如平时测验成绩占比50%，考试成绩占比30%， 作业和实验占比20% Teachers should tell you how many tests and when they are, also how marks are awarded, e.g. essay rubrics老师会告知学生将会有多少个测试以及测试的时间，以及分数如何评估，例如论文题目

Reports and Grades 报告和成绩 Formative assessments are used to guide students, teachers, and parents 过程性评价将会被用于指导学生，老师和家长 This includes homework, classwork, participation, quizzes 包括家庭作业，课堂作业，课堂参与度，小测验 These will NOT contribute to grades and GPA, but are still very important 过程性评分将不会计入最终的GPA,但是同样很重要

Teaching & Learning Styles 教学模式 Different from ordinary Chinese High School 与普通国内高中不同 Chinese teachers for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Math, PE 数理化生科目由中方教师授课 Hua Fu teachers for Art & Music, Chinese Culture 音乐、中国文化课由校本部老师担任 Accelerated learning 加速制学习 Exceptionally hard work needed 特别需要刻苦精神 Important not to miss lessons, and to catch up work missed 不缺课非常重要，缺课需自行补修内容和作业

Teaching & Learning Styles 教学模式 Also have classes taught by expatriate teachers 高一还有部分课程由外教授课 These classes all in English 这些是全英文课程 4 hours of academic English (writing, reading, speaking, listening) 每周4学时的学术英语（听、说、读、写全方位训练） Pre-AP English classes 同时有AP英语预备课程 Learn knowledge & skills important for Year 2 & 3 学到的知识和技巧对将来高二高三的学习非常重要 Help students understand subjects 帮助学生了解科目 Also make students “college ready” 让学生为海外大学学习做准备

C. PSAT All Year 1 students will take the PSAT test 全体高一学生参加PSAT 考试 Only once per year 每年一次 Saturday 19th October 10月19日开始 Test in the centre 华附国际自行安排考试 The school will cover all costs 该考试全免费 PSAT test papers sent to US, marked by College Board 试卷将寄往美国，由大学理事会评分 Results available in December 12月出成绩

C. PSAT Measures academic skills you’ll need for college (critical reading, math, writing) 衡量海外大学需要学生具备的学术能力（分析性阅读、数学和写作） Excellent practice for the SAT 是对SAT 的一个非常好的练习 Question types the same, but no essay 问题类型几乎一样，但不用写小作文 Report will give important feedback on academic skills 该成绩报告将对学术能力给出重要的反馈 Also get SAT plan, college and career planning tools, and information from colleges 还可获得SAT准备计划、大学反馈来的有关大学申请和职业规划的工具及信息

Summary Report is a progress report, still time to change/improve 此次成绩报告是阶段性的，同学们仍有时间和机会去提升 Summative grades count to GPA for semester 1, formative grades are for guidance 总结性评分会计入第一学期的GPA；过程性的评分用作指导学生 Course is very difficult, exceptionally hard work needed 课程难度很大，需要非常刻苦 PSAT for all students on Saturday 19 October 所有学生均需参加的PSAT考试时间为10月19日（周六）
