you need only to learn the numbers 0-10 and a few words for the big numbers like "one thousand." Then you can say any number at all. "fourteen" = "ten four." "Seventy" ="seven ten." The Chinese language loves simplicity:
Chinese numbers have symbols for 0-9, followed by 10, 100 and 1000 (and so forth). They never have consecutive zeros, e.g is never written like 二千零零二 ([2][1000][0][0][2]), but as 二 千零二 ([2][1000][0][2]). Ending zeros are also ommited (2000 = 二千 (= [2][1000] and not [2][1000][0])).
