Science: hands-on learning 科学:动手探究 Science is about what you do and how you think, as well as what you know. 科学是有关你做什么,你是怎么思 考的,以及你所知道的。

For example, in a unit about electricity, a student asked about batteries. The teacher gave the child a book about batteries. In this book, there was an experiment. The child brought it home and did the experiment. Then another and another and another. The parent provided the materials. He asked question upon question. He questioned his mistakes. He questioned what if there were more lemons. He questioned what the voltage of a lemon was. He would not have been able to learn or retain this much material if it was teacher/parent driven. Science in everyday life 生活中的学科 Use your child’s questions and wonderings as a platform for the child to learn and become interested in science. 以您孩子的问题和疑惑作为平台,让孩子 学习,并对科学感兴趣。
