Two Different Worlds, One True Love  Part B :【歌曲賞析】 這是迪士尼卡通影片1995年《風中奇緣》(Pocahontas)的主題曲。電影改編自發生在美國本土17世紀的歷史故事，影片描寫了一個從歐洲隨同總督前來新大陸尋找黃金的白人上尉John Smith，與當地印地安部落首領的女兒Pocahontas之間的愛情故事。此片在迪士尼經典的卡通影片中是非常特別的一部，一是因為這是頭一次讓「有色人種」當主角，二是因為這是迪士尼的第一部悲劇。Pocahontas後來選擇留在家鄉帶領族人，John Smith則返回英國療傷，兩人在漫天飛絮中分離，徒留缺憾。

此片著名的插曲“Colors of the Wind”歌詞簡單，但詞意深遠，珍惜大自然的真意深入人心。故事裡白人對印第安人的種族優越感，以及人類和大自然彼此間的互動，都值得我們去深思，去重新定位。我們的家園現在不也面臨同樣的問題？為了追求經濟的「最高利益」，砍掉了樹木，破壞了草原；汙染了河川，恣意獵殺動物；致使愈來愈多物種滅絕，終至自食惡果。在鋼筋水泥裡過著「高等物種」的生活，在機器低鳴中享受「寧靜」，在不同形式的牢籠中體會「自由」，樂此不疲。早在1851年索瓜米希族的酋長西雅圖致美國總統富蘭克林的信中提到：「地球不屬於『我們』，『我們』屬於地球。」呼籲身為人類要摒棄自我為中心的態度，學會與大自然共處，不也是當今2007年因全球暖化嚴重，最受重視的課題。

迪士尼影片一貫的傳統有很重的音樂成分。艾倫 迪士尼影片一貫的傳統有很重的音樂成分。艾倫.曼肯(Alan Menken)已為《小美人魚》(Little Mermaid)，《美女與野獸》 (Beauty And The Beast)，《阿拉丁》(Aladdin)譜出浪漫的音樂，他曾贏得六座奧斯卡獎，六座格萊美獎及十一座金球獎，這次再度出馬為《風中奇緣》配樂。填詞則由兩獲格萊美獎的史蒂芬.舒瓦茲(Stephen Schwartz)負責。電影中的歌唱版出自「美國音樂劇皇后」Judy Kuhn時而低沉時而高亢之聲；片尾版本(End Title)則由凡妮沙威廉斯(Vanessa Williams) 用靈魂式的唱腔來詮釋片中那種遺憾與感傷， 深沉、自由、浪漫，展露無遺。風之彩因而 獲得了第六十八屆奧斯卡最佳電影歌曲。

遠在150年前，一位印地安酋長就已經發現 人類與自然的親密關係， 用崇敬的心、對萬物生靈的尊重， 寫下他們對土地的情感。 索瓜米希族的酋長西雅圖致美國總統富蘭克林的 信中提到： 「地球不屬於『我們』，『我們』屬於地球。」
