in memory of = to the memory of 纪念 Textbook: For the Japanese festival Obon, people should go to clean graves and light incense in memory of their ancestors.

Usage: A:I'm enjoying a beautiful song, join me please. B:Oh,it's see you again,a very popular song. A:Yes,it's in memory of Paul Walker,who played in the movie Furious but died in accident.

in memory of常常用来纪念已经去世了的 注意: in memory of常常用来纪念已经去世了的 For example: Dragon Boat Festival is in memory of the poet---Qu Yuan who threw himself into the Milou river when hearing his country was defeated.

相似短语: in memory of in + n. + of in favor of 支持,赞同,对某人有利 in face of 面临,面对 in praise of 为赞扬 in case of 万一 in spite of 尽管 in terms of 就...而言
