1. I am an art student and I paint a lot of pictures. Many people pretend that they understand modern art. They always tell you what a picture is 'about'. Of course, many pictures arc not 'about' anything. They are just pretty patterns. ●tell you what a picture is ‘about’ 是宾语从句 ●just “ 只是,仅仅(是) ” e.g. 这只是个错号 It was just a wrong number. just 另一个意思是 “ 刚才,正好,正是 ” e.g. 我刚听到这个消息 I’ve just heard the news.

grammar 直接引语和间接引语 ( 即宾语从句 ) 直接引语转化成间接引语,在 L24 中主要陈述了三方面变化: 连接词 人称 时态 以外,直接引语变为间接引语时还须发生以下变化: 指示代词的变化为 this→that , these→those ; 时间状语的变化为 now→then , today→that day , yesterday→the day before, tomorrow→the next day 等; 地点状语的变化为 here→there ; 动词的变化为 come→go ( go 不要变 come )。例如:
